  1. Load of bollocks. It's normally never opened as it's not needed and it would cost to much to open a stand that would be mostly empty. Like I say, the passer on of information is a notorious Walter Mitty so I expected as much.
  2. Think you have some duff info Mac. We are in the North Stand which is opposite the dugouts! We were in that stand last time too. The NE corner of the ground has never been opened and if you walk around the ground, it hasn't even been finished off inside. I must have mate. Kid from work who's from Darlington but a Newcastle fan just emailed me to say it's 'cos the stand's unstable. In fairness to the lad, I work on the basis that 65% of what he says is lies.
  3. Just had a bottle of that Mountain Dew Energy, believing it'd be the same as the mountain dew I used to get at Wet n Wild. Fucking hell, I think it's made with the teardrops of the children of Chernobyl. Absolutely vile.
  4. Just found out about the reason the capacity of the stadium is capped. The stand opposite the dugouts is meant to be unstable and has been taken out of commission.
  5. Id probably buck it after 12 pints like That many?
  6. They are lovely people the unwashed. Just look at her http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-13925127 Oh, dear. She's the epitome of Sun'lun. SUnderland - Most famous for the Ripper Hoaxer and Newcastle.
  7. I must admit, Supermac is an idiot. Great player but the shite he spits out night after night is laughable. Slaven's on a wing and a prayer with every comment he makes. It used to be 'Gayatzeeey' and Slaven against Supermac but now it's Slaven and Supermac against Horseshite. The whole show needs a shake up. It'd be a better, more grounded show with new blood. The esteem the current crop hold themselves in is hilarious. Supermac was a great player but his patter fuckin' lifts.
  8. JOOOOOOON - QUUUUICCCCK ....there was an error on the website (as per) and tickets do still remain for Darlo. Get online NOOOOOOW and et them. If you fancy a pint before or after let me know and we'll meet you. Hope you have plenty luck mate.
  9. I'm a Labour supporter but find Ed Milliband monotone and non engaging. He's terrible in interviews and the smug grin on his face isn't warranted. His brother would've been a better choice for me. Ed just puts me in mind of the offspring of David Cameron and Ruby Wax.
  10. Sold out? Fucking hell. That's a nightmare for you. I'll ask on twitter/FB etc for you mate. I've not got any spare or I'd have sorted you out. Someone must be able to sort it out for you.
  11. Second half of the season I thought he was quality. The then picked up a really bad hamsstring injury, iirc. You just knew if Jose was playing, we were safe that side on the pitch and he'd be orchestrating attacks. Thats how I remember it too. If you had him and Bassong on you felt relatively safe. Beye would have been included there if he didnt get that injury, thought Jose was one of few to come out with dignity when we got relegated. I expect even Habib Beye would admit his mistake in leaving the club. I honestly can't remember a better back 4 than Beye, Colo, Bassong and Jose. If they'd have stayed, who knows. Where's Beye now? Still at Villa warming the bench? Ten times the player Danny Simpson is. I don't see a great deal of love for Simpson. Think it was 'Unitedgate' that done him with some fans. Pardew has to work on how Simpson deals with players running at him. I think he was protected by Joey too often last season and didn't get found out as much as he should've been, had he had a poor RM in front of him. He's a sound player but I question whether if he looked different would he be lambasted even more? Aye on paper but Colo was like a fish out of water that season and Jose wasn't at the level he's at now. I don't blame Beye for fucking off like some fans by the way. Neither do I. For all the bullshit after the Leyton Orient game where he was blamed as one of the ones who didn't want to stay who was 'disrupting team morale', he gave it all on the pitch during the relegation season, which some of the others who were criticising him couldn't claim. I'd gan along with both the last 2 posts there. Beye gave his all that season. Tell me 2 other players who performed better than Bassong and Beye. Anyone? That's the reason they were sold in that window as apose to Barton, Smith and Nolan who were piss poor from August to May. Barton was otherwise engaged for a period of that but still. I'd sooner see Barton go than Jose. Though I'd prefer neither.

Aye on paper, but look at them as they are today and I'd give my house and motors to Ashley if he'd swap Simpson and Williamson for Beye and Bassong back. Colo did have a poor first season but he was playing in a side being protected by Smith, Geremi and Nicky Butt.
  13. Wor kids lass used to childmind his bairns. Got a few Nike Polos off him in the house and a pair of boots. He was a good, nice man. I have no idea why he doesn't get a game at Villa. Read his autobiography, if he ever does one once retired and I'd bet a fortune he'll admit his mistake in leaving United. Simpson knocks about with the plums from Geordie Shore aswell. Oh, dear.
  14. If you're thinking Wigan away, he was Routledge at his most frustrating. He had the freedom of the right wing and the beating of his man each time and just couldn't work out what to do. Yeah, Wigan away. He petrified their left back but couldn't cross a road nevermind a decent ball in. I honestly believe if someone worked on his crossing, throughballs, final balls etc he'd have made it well here. Infuriating watching fast players with the beating of their man yet when they have the opportunity to put a ball in they turn back inside and play a safety into Tiote. Ultimately, he's a decent player but his final ball has been the tipping point for his career.

    Camping

    'Camp as christmas, tbh'.
  17. Pardew doesn't rate him I don't think. It'd be best for his career if he just left and built himself up again at a club where he'll play week in, week out. When he came on at Wigan last season he made their left back (forgot who it was) have a torrid time. He's one of the only players we had last season with any pace. Defenders hate pace running at them with the ball but I assume that's counter acted by the fact they know even if he passes them his final ball is absolute toilet. He's about 28 now, eh? Good luck to the lad. Sure Paul Wyn will echo my sentiments.
  18. We definitely can't mate. Second only to Ashley Cole iyam. And if he tried to play a bit less football with it in defensive areas of the pitch and saved that solely for the counter attacking then I'd say on balance he'd be on a par with Cole for overall value. Definitely won't get better. (And Beresford wasn't that good really much as I liked the guy). These Entertainers glasses are rose tinted. Look how strong Jose is. The thing that goes unnoticed, well maybe it does, is that often Right wingers would be at the left back when they try to shepherd the ball out of play. They barely even both when against Enrique as he becomes as wide as the touchline and the edge of the box. No way past him with the strength he has and his positional awareness. He'll actually be one of them players I tell my son about when he's abit older. The Bull is dead, long live the Bull. Think I'm actually a little bit huckle for him.
  19. I think anywhere from £10 to £15m net would be acceptable. However, the most important thing is that if Enrique does go they have replacement (e.g. M'Bengue) and that they bring at least one more striker in that looks capable of getting 15+ goals. If that happens, with no else leaving then i dont really care what the net spend is. There will be people complaining but they will be the same people who get lost in the financial discussions and claim that they dont care about finances, only the football. The inherent contradiction will be lost on them too. the only acceptable thing Chez is losing a player and signing a better one, or other better players to improve the team mate. That is all that matters. That doesnt look likely with Enrique does it Its a shame but we wont be the only team who loses a player like him this summer. If this lad from Swansea is his replacement (despite what the club are saying) i dont think it will be acceptable. Someone like M'Bengue might be but his price means that is unlikely. Enrique is going to be hard to bear no matter who comes in really as its probably as much a reflection of his opinion of people running the club as it is his ambition to play in the champions league. It was inevitable within an hour of Chris Hughtons departure. He knew, as well as we did, that when we sacked Hughton it had to be someone who had experience at the top. When Pardew came in he must've been pissing himself. Best all-round left back we've had for years. You'd have to go back to Bez to find anyone anything like him and I'd say technically he's miles ahead of where Bez was. IMO, he's the best player we have at the club and if was in a longer term contract would be the most valuable. Clichy going to Manchester City for £7m doesn't leave me with much hope of getting more than £5m for Jose. If we sell him for anywhere near that, then pay more for Naylor I'll be, like everyone else I'd hope, be fucking disgusted. I'd seriously rather play Shane Ferguson than pay big money for Naylor. He might be young, Ferguson, but he's got a canny bit about him (just ask CT!!!!) and will only improve with the experience. His size may be an issue. Looks like he needs a good plate of mince and dumplings.
  20. Tiote would've prevented that falling with his thumb. Had he still be at Twente.
  21. The access in terrible to and from the ground, by all accounts. Wish it was tomorrow night instead, can't wait another 8 days to watch a match.
  22. Most likely, I don't think the Blue Square Premier ever attracted a crowd of 25k. Makes you wonder why they built such a large ground when it's plain for all to see that they couldn't fill it if they were in The Championship.
  23. Yeah, I just read that. Local planning laws restrict attendances to 10,000. Why did they build a 25k seater and why was it allowed to be built if it didn't get approval?
