  1. They'll be getting paid a fortune. The average Super Sunday game gets 1.2m viewers. Talksport averages 3m listeners during the day, all those ad's etc.. they'll be minting it in. Toontastic should start its own little radio station, would be easy to set up, each week with a new member presenting. that would be classic. highlights could include the breafast show. morning moans on all things toon related. some mid morning world and political programs, the highlight being parky's morning musings on the middle east and all the latest consipracy theories drivetime radio featuring all of the best selections from the "what are you listening to thread" evening show would have your daily old board v new board phone in show hosted by leazesmag and skidmark. a toontastic take on nightowls guaranteed to help send any listener off to sleep. How would we incorporate the Belta minge thread I wonder? Have people calling up saying "o yea would nailed her fucking dorty slag" etc etc
  2. That seems a tad harsh. They are gonna be on weekdays 10am - 1pm. Basically they are taking the spot of the Talk sprot presentors who allowed Keys to come on their show to put his side across. Now they are on the Rock & Roll. Harsh! Anyway I am sure Talksport is owned by Sky is it not?
  3. we could do with an explanation from our club about this kind of thing
  4. He has been spotted many places with fishing rods and beer trying to console gentlemen of a nervous disposition.
  5. What is the point paying 12m for a left winger when we already have one
  6. When you’re facing a rout, and you’re 30 yards out, Cheik Tiote! From the Ivory Coast, squeezed just inside the post, Cheik Tiote! He left Cesc Fabregas, lying flat on his ass, Cheik Tiote! When we made it 4-3, he said leave it to me, Cheik Tiote!
  7. A bit like Tiote in a black and white shirt come the summer Ye but at least we will have some good memories of Boom Cheik Cheik Cheik the room
  8. Is it safe to say we will not see plausibledenial again????
  9. Just got a tenner on him to be next WBA manager at 21s at bodog must be worth a shout
  10. Boring and sick of this topic. Sky have made it effectively impossible for a boycott to ever have an effect. A club can be run, with a wage structure, on tv money alone. All that will happen is if 52000 stop going he reduces the wage bill further and hopes to stay in the league. Plus, it is impossible to organise everyone not going unless you barracade the ground in which case police action will certainly be taken. He is only gonna leave if he dies or gets a silly offer. TV Money will keep him going provided NUFC stay up and he always has the club as an asset to sell. Therefore, those who claim to not be going for the good of the club, don't bother even thinking you are helping because your not and it is naive to think this way imo. He doesn't care. If people wanna ruin their saturday not going out of principle and allowing him to take away the best part of the week that is fine but I am gonna keep going simply because it doesn't make a blind bit of difference.
  11. We have 3 strikers all of which are shit. We may as well bring in another one its not like he has to do much to improve our squad is it?
  12. gotta play him up front, got nowt else
  13. Jeremy Aliadiere is on a free transfer we could bring him in, Anyone?

    Phobias

FUNNY. My lass claims to have a phobia of stickers. Claims is the operative word because I think it is that dumb and unfounded that it must just be bullshit but its good for a wind up especially when i get new shoes and leave the stickers on the bottom till they go wet and soggy
  15. Come on man, Ranger was terrible again last night. Am I the only one that can see the boy will amount to nothing. You say he needs a run in the team to prove he can do it but thats the thing, HE CAN'T. You can tell by the way he runs and kicks a ball he is not a natural footballer and how he has got premiership games under his belt is beyond me. P.S he is a twat
  16. What? It's 1-25 in the squad of 25 rather than their actual squad numbers I think. True fact, or enrique taking 7 off barton might be a contentious issue
  17. Perhaps not but let's see how many renew next season. An empty St James park is looking more and more like the only voice we have, and it will never happen. We deserve what we get until we stop going imo. Gate revenue don't touch the sides mate, Sky have seen to that.
  18. Can you please explain how that can happen legally ?? Bonus. We'll show a profit this year after selling Carroll. They can pay themselves a bonus. Hello Toonpack. Ashley to do a Shepherd Eh ?? Nowt's changed except were not in a financial abyss as we were. Ashley's a twat but he owns the club and there's nowt anyone can do about it and he can do whatever he wants until he goes, despite his twatishness the club's in a much more sustainable position than it was when FFS was laterly in charge. Is that someone opening up a can of worms I hear?
  19. I have serious issues with this deal, it could end up having zero effect on us in the transfer market in the summer, even if we spend the £35m on players and wages. Look at it this way, IF we had not sold Andy you would expect a club of our size to spend approx £15m on players in a summer transfer window provided we stay up. That doesn't get you much. Now look at what Pardew is saying, the £35m and I stress only £35m (so immediately no transfer budget for summer) will be spent. First of all Ashley has already made a profit IF only £35m is spent on players and wages because of the net effect to the club of not paying Carroll's 35k p/w (approx £9.1m over 5 years) Effectively then, we would only be spending £25.9m after our saving on his wages. Then, AFTER this figure, Pardew says player sales AND WAGES will be taken account of. Therefore if we sign one player for £15.0m on 35k p/w on 5 1/2 year deal (£10.36m) we are left with a net spend of -£540k. This translates in to Fatty making a profit simply because he is including the wages spent on players. Furthermore, I would suggest some more people will be out the door in summer (Smith, Xisco etc on 50k p/w +), Barton to sign a heavily reduced wage contract. Will all this be taken account of? I think not! In order to actually spend Carrolls money + wages + wages and fees for other players that leave + summer transfer budget we should be looking at approx £80m spend combined on fees and wages (Massively depends on people leaving but can be used as an approximation) Pardew has confirmed £35m will be spent on both wages and fees. That is a net profit, over 5 years, of £55m from selling Carroll and summer transfer dealings. This not taking account of interest gained on the money. If you wanna show your worth Fatty, you need to be spending above the figure of £80m (break even point) not £35m. Us fans are not mugs and will not be fooled.
  20. The problem here is as well, even if Ashley did decide to put the money back in to the club which i seriously doubt, it gives him an excuse to not actually 'spend' any money. Even if we spent £35m in the summer, we would sell a couple of players as always and he would still be in a net positive position
  21. Liverpool fans praising dalgleish for bringing in Carroll and selling Torres. Wonder whether Roy Hodgson would have got the same
  22. Any one think we will get someone in, even on a loan deal, or will we realistically end up with shola and best as 1 and 2? I am bricking it at that thought tbh. Elmander would be a decent deal tho I think but is he too old for us to sign with our current structure etc
  23. That's it then, fucking Best and Ameobi up front. David Craig says no deal agreed yet and he left bycar at same time as players leaving training
