  1. I'm in the right mood for this to tickle me. My mate bought his a new bed for Christmas; giving a cat a Christmas present ffs, it can barely eat its food and have a shit without kicking it all over the floor. I bought my cat a little present, came with a little ball that had a little catnip and some treats inside that would fall out as the cat played with it. Little fucker didnt touch it once! hell, the <1 year old baby showed more interest in it than the ungrateful feline fecker
  2. In all honesty i reckon Pards HAS to keep krul in between the sticks. If he dropped him now I reckon it would do more damage than good, from Kruls perspective he'd have fucked off the new manager and lost his place, game over. In my honest opinion Pards needs to show krul that he has faith in him and still starts him via spurs. We have the cup match on the 8th to bring Harper back into the '1st team fray' so to speak - and even if Krul has a blinder against Spuds, Harper playing in the cup match will at least allow pardew to make a decision based on a little more info as to form between the two (even if it is just a formality to not upset Krul too much) Personally Kruls catching seems a bit more solid in my eyes, and his reflexes maybe catching up there, however he flaps far too much and seems to share Harpers fear of leaving his goal line for anything other than a clear ball. Out the two of them i personally couldn't pick. Did anyone else see Harper reassuring and shaking kruls hand moments before they came out for the 2nd half, even thought hey are competing for the jersey, was nice to see Steve encouraging the lad, he was clearly gutted at being 2-0 down after 5 mins.
  3. The moment I (in my stupid youth days) held a new years party in my flat that i shared, it was barely past 8pm and we were having a pre-party 'blaze' when one of the lads asked me to open a window. I got up, went to lift the arm lever on the window - and gave it a push, nothing happened. After pushing a couple more times I - without thinking - gave the window an almighty slam with my open palm. Everything went black for a second and the room fell quiet, my vision kinda blurred back in and i turned to my mates who all had looks of terror on their faces. When one of the lasses screamed - it broke the adrenaline fuel I was in, and gazing down at my hand and seeing my thumb near severed and hanging off by a thread of skin, as well as all the sliced muscles and bits and bobs that go through that meaty part of your hand - and the fountain of blood spraying out of it. Was a "Oh FuckOh FuckOh FuckOh FuckOh FuckOh Fuck!" Moment. *shudder*
  4. So good to see that smiling face again Seems like routledge is a bit miffed about todays result on twitter as well, cant say i blame him tbh
  5. Best Present = > The current Season Home kit With me name and Gutierrez number on the back (Apparently the fact i play left wing for me saturday and sunday league teams, and have long hair = jonas?) Had been meaning to pick it up since it was released but its been a very lean few months for me and the mrs. Most practical present => Again from the other half, Replacement 360 controller from one too many drunken lads nights leaving my current ones in pretty bad nick. Worst / WTF present = > A coffee Cup. errr, cheers dad?! Hope you all had a great xmas day lads (and lasses)
  6. Thank fook I know its ridiculous to pay any attention to the 'journalists' during silly season anyway - but it is always nice to hear it from the horse's mouth, so to speak. (so long as that horse is not Jermaine 'lying' Beckford) Still as nice as it is to hear the players pledge their alliance, and the manager saying pretty much what we want to hear regarding transfers - i'm gonna keep that little bit of weariness about myself and expect the unexpected!!
  7. Good shout on Sleigh Bells Awesome band, and probably my Favorite musical duo since shy child
  8. Apologies if anyones offended by 'depressing' radiohead, but this is absolutely class!
  9. haha, well normally i'm against sensationalist headlines but for once i'll let it slide! that mirror headline put a smile right across my face. Nice how the numbers he is citing as an 'improvement' are the kind of crowds that SJP pull sin regularly!! We'd probably manage to do it away too if we were allowed more than a handful of seats (looking at you spurs!)
  10. @Monkeys Fist @manc-mag Cheers for the welcome lads, and aye here's hoping that it just fades away with the rest of the ridiculous rumours that surround tyneside as it approaches transfer window (A.k.a silly season) I guess from a business sense, when you have 2 younger midfielders due back in early 2011 that are both combined going to be on the same wages as Barton who is getting on in football years. Then yeah, ok business wise that makes sense. Where i take issue, is the fact that Ben Arfa and Gosling (as quality as they are) are coming back in after lengthy injury spells, and are as of yet unproven to the team - even if Ben Arfas Everton goal showed promise of him being a less lazy Robert (please let that be true!!) Barton might be on big wages right now - but who would take a pay cut in the premier league if asked?! Especially when you are on the form of your life! Barton has issues, his behavior is terrible at times and getting banned arguably cost us a few points this season, however his work rate when he is on the pitch and the quality of his service is 2nd to none at the moment, and if Pardew is coming out and saying his players are going nowhere and we need to adapt a big club mentality to survive - then paying arguably the best player at the club, a lilttle more than you want in order to keep him at the club - is what 'Big clubs' do. If this goes ahead then i expect pardew to come out and say how upset he is with the decision - otherwise he has straight up shown how this ride is going to be from the off. Him saying what we want to hear :- "Attack attack attack" "Big club mentality" "Barton and carrol staying" And then ashely doing whatever the hell he wants in the background, and pardew accepting it. Anyway, rant over time to go back to watching videos of Laurent Robert scoring the kind of goals you just dont see anymore xD
  11. Wish my first post was in a less depressing thread - but jesus christ this is insane. I know that Ashley doesn't have a clue how to run a club (let alone one such as Newcastle!) But surely they've got more sense than this? Surely when hes been sat rubbing his hands together in the stands during the matches, he's noticed the difference Joey Barton makes when he's in the team?! He's GOT to have! Ok his wages are a bit high - but for someone whos coming into as much of a quality patch as Barton is, right now he is worth every penny. If there is any hint of truth in this and ashley really is flogging him to trim wages - then this flies right in the face of Pardews recently announced "Big club thinking" policy and shows straight up that he has no intention of keeping his new managers interests alive. I dread to ask whos going to provide the service for Carroll now - Although hey! Maybe Ashley is counting on Carroll not being a problem in January either
