  1. Wouldn't go that far just yet but it certainly helps. The more draws for that lot the better. Yeah not quite. A win next week and we can probably start (celebrating?). If WBA go down wouldn't mind going in for Dorrans. Hope they stay up though. They play good football. Better than those around them at least. Wouldn't be surprised if they go down with Blackpool though. They both seem to have lost momentum a bit.
  2. Understatement there.. He's a fucking giant.
  3. Rangers getting back into it a bit now.. Couple of good moments for Forster so far this half..
  4. Wouldn't mind if Rangers got the odd shot on target so I can see how Forster goes against the only remotely quality opposition he's likely to play against this season, at least domestically. Diouff copping a right old booeing. Getting spicy now... Ooh nasty tackle.
  5. If we signed those 3 players plus a few more (including an established quality striker) I'd be very happy.
  6. Read this earlier today on a twitter link. I assumed initially they were obviously some fanboy operation that were being given there time in an effort to portray the club's board in a positive light. However, having read their summary of the interview, among other things, I don't think they are anywhere near that foolish, they seem genuinely interested and informed on the ongoing operation of the club. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean the club heirarchy see them as anything more than a publicity tool.
  7. I find it hard to believe that sweeping generalisations are ever based upon informed anything.
  8. Yep. Me too. Sadly I think the opportunity for the fans to be proven wrong by Ashley is gone. The only reason we are where we are is through good luck cancelling out Ashley's terrible decisions. He was lucky in that we kept the core of our squad when we got relegated. He was lucky we bounced straight back up, thereby avoiding having to sell off said core of the side. He is lucky we (probably) won't be relegated after selling Carroll without replacing him. I hate to sound so negative. Especially at a time when the team is playing so so well. But I see it as a false dawn since the team playing well at the moment will be the team that we sell off in the summer. Probably.
  9. What? I see you have been forced to use your sooooper-dooooper mathematical ability to deduce your age from your birthdate elsewhere. People giving you shit about being a child on forums other than this one? Maybe if you learnt to write in a semi-coherent manner people wouldn't assume you're a child. Funnily enough if you're not a child, and truly 26, then I'm sure you're a retard. So in that case I apoligise for being so harsh. Picking on children is one thing. Picking on the mentally handicapped another thing entirely.
  10. Enrique (taken from post above) Hopefully written on toilet paper so it's worth is not lost on anyone. Judging from this statement and Joey Barton's statements yesterday, the players are losing patience. I could see alot of the players wanting to leave in the summer once those around them start to be sold and the realisation that any momentum gained from last season and this season has been given the signature Ashley treatment. This is the key reason why Enrique and any other quality player currently at the club will leave sooner rather than later.
  11. I think they are playing to their potential now whereas before they were underachieving. I think the Carroll sale could be a positive because £35 million beans could potentially buy us into European contention for next season as long as we don't sell anyone. Enrique, Jonas and Colo had a hard time settling initially imo. Now they are settled to sell them and replace them with new players who would have to then settle again is a pointless exercise. That's not to mention the potential for said replacement signings to be utter garbage.
  12. Barton Interview Now that's how I feel and I am as frustrated as fuck with the fat prick. Imagine how the players feel. I don't necessarily feel that players leave for money, all the time. They leave because they are wasting there careers, relatively short careers at that, pushing shit up a hill for some fat bloke who doesn't give a fuck about them. Would you leave? Of course you would. Ashley is a cancer.
  13. Ashley doesn't want to pay the going rate in terms of wages for a player of Enrique's quality and potential. Sound familiar? As good as sold. Tiote too. You could call me negative or whatever, but from our past experience with the way that fat cunt operates to assume any other outcome is more likely would be foolish. This summer's transfer window presents the club with a massive opportunity given the squad we have and the transfer funds (that should be) at our disposal. I am certain the fat cunt will fuck it up by selling our best players and replacing them with shit.
  14. And ability. You forget 'with pace and ability'.
  15. Only to the point of being unrecognisable. And a £10 to £15 mill striker instead of Best for next season. Here's hoping. Although, once we are truly safe from relegation and we allow ourselves to begin to think the worst is over I'm sure the Fat Cunt will have a surprise for us.
  16. Maybe terrible is a bit harsh. But I thought he struggled a bit. Giving away a penalty is a fairly important mistake however, last minute and all.
  17. I think you often spout shite but I have to agree with you here. If we just added 2 above-average strikers I don't see why we couldn't be aiming for 5th-8th place I agree. There are 5 or 6 players in our squad that are real quality players who are playing well now that they have settled at the club. Look at David Luiz, the new Chelsea signing, he is quality but he looked terrible at Fulham. But if they show some patience with him, like we have with Colo, he will turn out to be a very good player in this league. People are too quick to condemn players, and entire squads, on the basis of a few bad games. I would blame the media but they wouldn't gain any traction if it wasn't for the thick planks in the public that jump on the bandwagon at the first opportunity in order to slag of obviously genuine footballers in a rut. I think we all know the kind of people we are talking about in this instance.
  18. You literally know fuck all. I would really like to give him credit for having a joke at his own expense. Expecting too much?
  19. If I can quickly add my two cents on Ashley: I wish he would be honest with supporters. But his agenda dictates that he can't be. I think he understands what is expected of him by the supporters. This is why he is constantly dishonest with the fans in my opinion since he has no intention of fulfilling those expectations. I think the dishonesty confirms that he knows that the fans are right to expect more of him, otherwise he would just be honest as to his intentions for the club. If he was honest and came out tomorrow and said, he was trying to get the club on stable financial ground so he can sell the club for a good price and walk away from the exercise with something (ie. money) to show from it, at this point I think people would probably except it. But only because everyone is jack of his shit. Either way his credibility and the credibility of those around him is shot. Hence the angst everyone of his decisions is met with, rightly or wrongly.
  20. If I can just get back on to Enrique for a second. Enrique's contract talks have been put on hold until we are safe from relegation. Does anyone read this as: Enrique, or possibly his agent, laying the foundations for the manufactoring of a move away in the summer? Let's be honest whether he signs a new contract now or not he will move in the summer if we are relegated. The only difference is if he doesn't sign now and clubs start making bids in the summer the club is forced into selling him cheaper to recoup some of fee we paid for him, thereby making his move out of the club easier. I hate to be cynical but it just seems like bullshit to me on the part of Enrique and/or his agent. Owen did the same and we all knew what it meant at the time. Granted his contract was expiring but the circumstances are similar. Given that no one in the PL that Owen wanted to play for would have paid a transfer fee for him whereas they will for Enrique.
  21. Will be good to see Oba sit up front and sulk while playing for the opposition for something different.
  22. I must admit that I cringe when the 'colour' commentators are praising him every week. If those clueless planks are noticing how good he is then sure as shit the big clubs will have noticed him too. I wouldn't rule out Man Utd with Evra getting on a bit and no clear replacement already within their squad. Not having qualified for Europe for a few years is showing in that the club are struggling to keep a solid team together and get some momentum going.
  23. Why does this dribble keep getting spouting? 'The Carroll situation' is having a negative effect on the our performance because we sold him without any plan for replacing him before the end of the window. For me the thing that bothers me most is that we didn't get another striker in regardless of Carroll's situation. I agree we already needed another striker, it doesn't bother me more though, since having Carroll and no one else is better than having no one at all. Surely though the club, or at least Pardew, should have had targets in mind as a partner/replacement for Carroll. This is what confirms my belief that selling Carroll so late in the window without replacing him was always the intention of the board. Doesn't bode well for any future transfer windows in which Ashley is involved in my opinion.
  24. No. Enrique took the bull by the horns and put in a display in spite of how Jonas was going to play. It could also be argued that Enriques strong attacking play actually helped Jonas's game. The whole premise of this thread was for discussion, which only a few wanted. However it's quite clear that yesterday's performance was the "old" Enrique that I was talking about, that had been missing. Proving once again that indeed I do know what I'm talking about. Welcome back Jose. So you are essentially arguing here and throughout that Jonas performance only impacts on the performance of Jose when Jose plays badly?
