I'd rather pay Erdinc a million pounds a week than Smith a million yen a week.

Sports Direct over JD, or JJB for that matter, but don't like using them due to the FCB, however I must admit Sports Direct are great at what they do, that is cheap and cheerful sports clothes. Great for footy shirts, never looked at anything else in there other than boots. JD's too expensive and its trainer selections (its main commodity) are wank anyway.

Isn't Smith on more than that?
-
Anything said about whether they'll do anything? Like someone said at least a programme note would do. It's the least we can do in circumstances like these.

Disgusting . RIP Tore, it's so tragic when someone dies so young! I hope the club do something for him, to show respect!

Amy was better than Doherty in every way, but that's not a surprise. I have nothing to envy either of them, their money is/was pissed up against the wall, their lives and their health is/was a mess and so on. So she was a manic depressive, whoopee do. So are many other people, but they don't waste their lives becoming addicted to every susbstance known to humanity despite knowing the dangers. I suffer from depression and have had days where I wish I would kill disappear from society altogether, or had visions of suicide but I know not to do drugs or hit the bottle. I do not take glee in Amy's death, but she was fucking stupid to start the heavy duty drugs, and paid the price so not much sympathy from me. If that makes me a bad person, then so be it. Her music was pretty shit, and she sounded like a strangled cat, but I think the fact she helped launch the career of Mark Ronson is what gets on my tits the most. Please tell me you're joking! Doherty is a million times better than Winehouse, although i'm a Libertines fanboy so I should probably hush up (and like musicians with good lyrics more than anything, also Doherty likes the same sorta literature I do so I appreciate his influence). They're both good people who've made mistakes, I don't feel sorry for Amy for what's happened but it's too easy to brandish someone a complete waster like that, especially in our double standards society where many alcoholics pipe up calling people who are on drugs without even the smallest acknowledgement of the irony. Also, your second sentence... What a waster what a fucking waster you pissed it right up the wall.

I hope we get him for 6.5 million, bargain for that price. Surprised some don't want us to just spend 35 million on him just to prove a point

Shame and that, but please don't give her membership to the 27 club, oh please merciful God don't put her on that level of legend.

and then followed it by having a laugh at himself for missing one yesterday he seems like a good natured bloke every time I see him nowadays See him out and about a lot?

You keep on giving don't you? Note the word insane mein freund . In Greece almost everyone fiddles somewhere to avoid paying tax, it's just how it is. Over here most people do pay! I know the entire rich bitches in tax havens bullshit and that but key word majority. When Greece reaches about £100bn a year in tax evasion/avoidance come back to me. To be fair Greeces population is about a fifth of ours, and I don't know what theirs is overall.

Are you kidding? There are a handful of countries in Europe that aren't fucked. Yeah, but with Spain, Portugal, Italy and Ireland all in shit situation you never know. I think that the influence of Germany (mostly), France and Britain will actually help the Eurozone vastly in a union, but still theres enough countries in the mire to argue it could go to shit. We are one of the fucked countries surely? Yeah but so are most people in Europe in that respect, ours is relatively sustainable though and there's a reason we're contributing towards bailouts and not receiving them. ??? Enlighten us....... Didn't we pay 4 billion dollars towards Ireland? Unless you mean the reason, i'd say because we have one of the biggest economies in the world, don't have an insane amount of tax dodgers (Greece's is crazy), started cuts before it was too late and are slowly working away at the debt. Why do you have a different opinion? Had on, so what youre saying is that BECAUSE we play by the rules we should fork out for every other fucka that cannit be bothered? No, i'm saying we should have a union between us, helping everyone to get out of the shit. The EU has the largest combined economy in the world, it would be a lot easier to get out of this together than apart, and it'd probably cost a lot less too.

TBH, the whole Greece thing could be sorted out if Europe had some sort of financial union, I know it's not a popular idea but I PERSONALLY think it'd help if we put all our eggs in one basket. The potential problem being that Greece could bring the rest of us down, as opposed to the rest bringing them up. On a similar note, I was thinking earlier how crazy it'd be if that Anglo-Franco Union had worked in the 50's . Also I have no figures or actual proof that a financial union would work, it's just pie in the sky and no doubt someone here with better knowledge of economics will shoot me down. Surely it must be considered though?

Sorry, didn't see this. Like owt that's light sci-fi, some comedy stuff if it's done more as satire or anything more character based really. Not too much a fan of crime or mystery etc but if there's a good one I really must read, I'll give it a go. Have you read Douglas Adams? Probably have like but he ticks the first two boxes. Hitchhikers Guide is insanely funny! Restaurant at the End of the Universe is my favourite

Touche. The Bombardier ones are class. Never had a problem with John Smiths or Strongbow ads. Narh but I do have a problem with Strongbow . I don't really mind most adverts, I always just think tv probably wouldn't be as good overall without their funding. But I draw the line when that fucking webuyanycar wank comes on.

Aye my homes really good quality, better than the quality of last years shirts certainly.

Didn't think it was worthy of its own thread, but anyone have any thoughts on the Hollandia game? Basically a reserve side (plus Cabaye, Barton, Ranger and Routledge) but drawing to some Dutch part timers 2-2 :| http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Match/Report/Re...2398711,00.html

I know, I panicked! But if i'm right i'll look Godly. Besides maybe I wanna get close to Nick ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPPLooLfEXE That's how we all feel right now I think it's more to do with the fact we had no more money to spend and couldn't keep spending what wasn't ours to spend etc etc etc. As government income is a constant hourly flow of cash into the treasury 'having no money' doesnt even make sense. Secondly, the deficit was caused by a significant reduction in tax revenues as the recession hit. People losing jobs, companies going bust, houses being written down, all caused a signficant reduction in tax revenue. We might say 6% as this is by how much the UK economy shrank. The other side of the coin is the rise in government costs paying welfare and social security to the people who just lost their jobs. At the very same moment, because of the recession, the bond markets demand higher yields on government borrowing, adding to the deficit in an instantaneous fashion. Lets say 6% increase. Thats a 12% of GDP deficit from just the impact of the recesion. What was the deficit figure again? 'What wasnt ours to spend'. How cute. Why must you continue to be a wanker with the cute things? I thought we'd covered that long ago? Must you act all holier than thou? It isn't ours to spend because every pound we borrow we pay back eventually with interest! As someone who has more than the immediate future to care about (you know, the time when I can grow up and have wrinkles and saggy testicles and all of a sudden know loads about how the world works?) I know that i'd rather have stagnation in GDP if it will help out eventually, a few years of that with a smaller deficit and we can push on. Only joking man... but do look up defintion of 'holier than thou'. Just a heads-up. Holier than thou because of age not politics. Also I see we have a gambler, I only said a 10er because I didn't want to take an honest mans money , but 100 quid? Grand? If you want to waste money be my guest. So you mean condescending then, not Holier than thou. Duhhh. I like you Clee, thats why i'm messing Terms of your wager? What are you predicting? Touché . Erm? Wager, loser has to wank off Polish Nick? I'm predicting that we will have at least 1% increase in GDP and/or decreasing unemployment, whatever floats your boat.
