  1. Haven't looked through this thread for a while, but got a quick question for anyone else who plays on Macs, what sites are available to us now? I use Pokerroom out of preference over Full Tilt, and quite like it, but are there any more options? Also is there any software that's any good? I use sharkscope as a site, but is there anything else that might help me?
  2. I know that Bono is good, but there's something about him that just doesn't let me like him. I don't know what it is, but he drives me up the wall!
  3. Quoted for truth. and again. ps. If you like U2, ch4 this morning, 11am, their concert from Milan. I'm watching, but I'm not impressed. A lot of their songs sound the same.
  4. Aye. I class the Mail as the worst paper going tbh. By some distance. I never really feel I can say it though, given that the girlfriends mum has been reading it for years, it'd be similar to me saying "Oi, you know your mum, she's got shit opinions".
  5. You should read 'In Cold Blood' by Capote which is class (recommended by resident phillistine Gemmill believe it or not). It's nowt like Breakfast... though. I tried 'Midnight's Children' once. Couldn't be arsed. I mainly want to finish it to prove I'm brighter than my mum, who never could! Enjoyed Breakfast... enough to browse through Capote's body of work, will look that one out next I think, cheers.
  6. Recently read Breakfast at Tiffany's by Capote, much shorter than I expected, but thoroughly enjoyable. Currently reading Midnight's Children by Rushdie - I sort of read it in fits and starts as it's fairly intimidating, and a bit hard going! Going to start 'A short history of tractors in Ukranian' as a side project for when I need something a little less demanding.
  7. Travelling around Europe for a month.
  8. Jan-Ove Waldner. Reckoned to have done more for the progression of the game than any other.
  9. Monty for me. No-one has really done anything noticable for me, and I spend an embarrassing amount of time watching SSN, but Monty has made a real connection with the England fans, the Barmy Army love him. I bet he's stopped at least some people thinking that men of asian descent only wear turbans to hide their bombs up them as well. Legend tbh. Not influenced by the fact I've got a fiver on him at all!
  10. Joanna Newson - Ys. Obviously.
  11. Just looked this thread up. At work I couldn't read a number of pages because their "wighted phrase score" was above 150, usually around the 200 mark. I tried clicking on this thread and it was over 30,000. I wonder why...?
  12. Nothing better than a reheated takeaway for lunch, particularly Pizza when hungover. On the way back from a night out, I have been known to buy a cheap pizza and put it all in the fridge for the next day. A bit of planning never hurt anyone.
  13. By the way, www.sharkscope.com is a good website for checking up on your opponents when you get down to the last few...or a way to check if your mates have been lying about their profit margins. Only get 5 free searches a day, and it doesn't return data for ring games, but an excellent resource nonetheless.

    Will Ferrell

Complete legend. Funny as fook on Moyles yesterday morning as well. Anchorman - funniest film ever. Fact.

    28 Day Ban....

Is the clique upset Aphro? I've always been under the impression you were in the clique tbh
  16. I play a lot of $5 tournaments on Pokerroom - mainly due to my budget to be honest - and you get some shocking players, up to about 5 of the ten from one table, but generally people take it seriously and aren't useless. Having said that, I'm reasonably up of late, if you play patiently you tend to do pretty well.
  17. You can't At work anyway. It better be running come 5:45.
  18. I can play now! See you later....
  19. I agreed with a fair amount of what you posted, but this is the bit I wanted to elaborate on. I agree that there are people who are seemingly being turned from being "good kids" into potential or even all to real terrorists, and I think we need to look at why this problem has seemingly escaled in recent years. What can it possibly be that has led to a form of propaganda so powerful that people are willing to attack the country they have been brought up in? Obviously we need to do all we can to prevent terrorism wherever possible, but we can only begin to solve this problem by going to the roots of it.
  20. Send the buggers back! EDIT: And I was one minute too late. Never mind.
  21. He pressed a button on his dashboard and blades came out of the side of his tyres, mangling his opponent's car. It'll either be that or the infamous "Oil Slick" button. The swine.
  22. Just as a quick aside, what was it that happened in Monaco '04 relating to Schumi? I can't seem to remember, was it something in qualifying?
  23. Just call them Smeeagain bobby, you know you want to.
