  1. Stevie, I have to say I love the way you call any post agreeing with your stance on Tottenham a 'great post', and state it's written by 'someone who has a clue'. Classic!
  2. Chris cocking Gayle didn't do my dream team many favours today.
  3. Seems to be working fine on Firefox so far. Guess it's not just the macs then?
  4. The Streets - A Grand Don't Come for Free. And the twatting builders laying a road outside my house.
  5. Take a chill pill Craigy, I figured not everyone with Safari wwas having this problem, otherwise there would have been a thread on this a long time ago. It ws more aimed at people who have had the same problem - I've downloaded firefox so hopefully it'll be ok now. Put my hook away? What could you possibly mean?
  6. I'm browsing it on Safari on my Mac, and on reasonably regular intervals it decides it's had enough, and I get a message saying 'Safari has unexpectedly quit'. Never had this problem with any other site, and it means I can't ever be fucked to look on here when I'm at home. Any ideas as to what's going wrong?
  7. Fat bastard. Would have loved him here for that price. A gamble? Obviously. One well worth taking though, if we could convince him it was worth his while to try he could have been one of the best in the prem. Irrelevant however, as he's gone to one of the biggest clubs in the world, and a league he's already played in. Can you imagine what Roeder and Shephard's pitch to him would have been like?!
  8. Yeah, brilliant idea. Although for Blackburn it probably won't make much difference, as the money they'll lose off the tickets they're selling anyway will be compensated for by the extra fans. Stevie, by "best article you've read in a few years" and "best point you've read on an internet message board" do you really mean "a point/article that happens to eloquently(ish) back up your opinions on your current objects of greatest derision"? Edit: Sorry mate, just realised that's unfair. I forgot about the 'bin-dippers'!
  9. Went to Europe this summer, flew into Rome on the day of England-Ecuador. In the taxi to the campsite I made a comment to my missus that we shouldn't miss any of the match. The taxi driver then announced, in very broken English that Alan Shearer was his favourite player, unprompted! Hero, tbh.
  10. A massive defender who could intimidate the opposition a it from set pieces (at both ends), and maybe bully their centre forwards a bit could be very useful to us. What we're really crying out for, though, is a leader.
  11. Spot on Leazes. Got quite a lot of respect for Keane myself, purely for the passion he showed when he was on the pitch - but he let himself down badly with the challenge on Haaland, and the subsequent book, which seemingly went out of its way to be controversial just to sell copies. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he became a very good manager somewhat in the Brian Clough mode - wasn't it Cloughie who picked him up in the first place for Forest?
  12. Given up on Midnight's Children for the forseable future, couldn't be fucked anymore. Went for Fever Pitch after that as something a bit light hearted and enjoye it a lot, certainly spoke to my inner geek. Reading The Bookseller of Kabul - Asne Seierstad at the moment, very interesting although seems a little preachy at times.
  13. Don't understand why people don't like Jenas.
  14. Fucking hell man, you can't just say that! I'm stuck in the pissing library and comments such as 'fuck' and 'Phew...' aren't doing my mental health any good at all.
  15. Not guilty. No-one accused you Davey-boy, thou doth protest too much?
  16. Lets face it: there's nothing gayer than forum wars. You get enough stigma for being a geeky member of an internet forum - but warring against another internet forum? Not that it matters to me anyway. I know full well I'm cool enough to carry this off. Team Cool: members - Mowen.
  17. Good spot. Unless I'm much mistaken, there's some yellow and blue there as well. I wasnt aware of that the first time i said that though. Don't worry mate, it can be really confusing trying to decipher four colours at a time. I'm sure you'll develop eventually!

    Who am I?

Anything to do with sticking that flag in the middle of the pitch when he was managing in Turkey? Or is he just a Newcastle fan?

  20. Someone's going to have to tell me how to do it soon, or I don't get a degree. I sometimes wish I wasn't a complete fucking loser, but never mind.
  21. I'm stuck there as well. There's nothing else to click on!

    This Life + 10

Too young to have seen it at the time, but I thought this was crap. Didn't really believe any of the characters, and the storyline just seemed stupid. Sort of a catch-22 situation though I would imagine: Everyone who loved it at the time would want another episode, but programs like that are often going to date very quickly.
