    Arsenal

Arsenal are a fantastic team to watch, and as much as I admire Wenger he's cocked up majorly in the last 2-3 years; they've seriously regressed since their unbeaten year. They won't be anywhere near the title again this year, but will hold on to their champs league qualification position. They could finish 3rd, but most likely 4th imo. Having never lived in an area naturally inhabited by Arsenal fans I have to say my impression of them is that there are a lot that come out of the woodwork when they do well, the sort of person you never realised supported one team in particular. Went to Highbury once, very nice ground.
  2. Not a horrible place for starters, and Leeds should be a prem team. I'd much rather have them than Wigan or Fulham or other equivalent no marks. Shame if you ask me, and could easily have happened to a few clubs, including us.
  3. In for Dyer would be great business. A classy player, something we haven't had in midfield for a while.
  4. I quite like it to be honest, decent pop tune. Mind, it had already been at number one for about 7 weeks when I first listened to it!
  5. By interesting I meant different to everyone else who seems to be around at the moment. Not a big fan, personally, but she's listenable.
  6. A pint of Stella works out at 3 units, and that's 5.2%. Personally I wouldn't drink anything if I was going to drive, but I've certainly been concerned about morning driving a number of times in the past, I just go a lot slower than usual to give me more time to react to anything.
  7. Winehouse is a little bit interesting at least, even if she does sound a bit like Ms Dynamite. Standing in the way of Control is a class single, haven't heard too much of them though, and I like the Kate Nash single as well, I think it's the backing track that makes me enjoy it, not sure though. Just Jack is utter wank though, he played at our uni and it was shit, every song sounds the same. Luckily the D&B tent opened about half way through his set so there was something to look forward to. Oh, and Orson are pretty awful too.
  8. Saw it last night and thought it was pretty good, made me laugh a lot of times anyway. I was so worried it was going to be utter shit that I was delighted with it being decent in the end! There are some moments of real class, and refences to other episodes but you have to be a bit of a Simpsons geek to appreciate those. It's worth watching if you're a Simpsons fan anyway.
  9. Yeah, when I'm not at uni. Ashford area, hence knowing about it. My main gripe is the lack of decent nightlife in the entire county, there just aren't any proper cities.
  10. I was thinking about defending Kent but all those places are shit! Ashford's not too bad though, came 4th best place to live in Location, Location, Location once! Canterbury's quite nice, Maidstone's ok and there's a lot of nice countryside out there as well, just not much by the way of cities. True I remember those Channel 4 fools liking Ashford (and also Eastleigh which has been mentioned). It's got it's good points definitely, but it's overally pretty rough - some intimidating council estates there. There's worse places I admit. Canterbury's nice though - poor nightlife but great town centre. Maidstone's not bad and has a good town centre. There's some nice countryside definitely and places like Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks are also classy places (if that's what you like). It's just that most of the towns are pretty bad. Ashford's not rough at all really, there's only one intimidating council estate I can think of and I've lived for long enough.. the town itself isn't so great but the surrounding areas and villages are very nice. It's more Ashford District that's the nice place rather than Ashford itself.
  11. I've been thinking about this, and what this place needs is more mongs to start threads. If I were to start one, everyone'd read my opening post, smile, nod their head and be unable to contribute anything further than "spot on", or "top post mate, couldn't agree more". However when you get a real idiot starting a thread, for example Gemmill, he can be so fundamentally, idiotically wrong about something even as simple as a sandwich it'll stretch to 20+ pages.
  12. Blackburn seemed a bit of a shitter when I was there.
  13. 'Your request was denied because of its content categorization: "Entertainment"' Never heard of him tbh.

  15. The Nike one in a cage was pretty amazing. I'm a huge fan of the Guinness one going back in time as well.
  16. Same as me, I don't have any particularly defining online characteristics such as being consistently funny, rude, depressing, optimistic or have an unbridled hatred for certain members/players/ethnic minorities to stand out. I was mainly talking about the fact I don't post very much on this board, but now you come to mention it I agree, you are a bit bland. Sort of like a quiche.
  17. More than happy to have him in the squad as 4th choice. Hopefully he'll continue the improvement he was showing signs of at the end of the 05/06 season as well.
  18. For me, the only interest in this thread is what Sima himself is going to plump for.
  19. As someone mentioned it's good news as it means that's one less signing to make. However highly or not you rate Martins, he would need replacing if he left, and I'd rather we were focusing on the areas that are weak at the moment for the time being.
  20. Doherty may be a smackhead/waster/twat etc. but anyone who's nobbing Kate Moss is not, by definition, a loser.
  21. I used to think this, but Magma's posts in here are pretty much the funniest thing on the internet, so I've been won round.
