As someone who posts a bit on N-O and very infrequently I have to say I do find it harder to contribute/join in here. Hard to explain why, but it's probably a product of there being a smaller group of posters who all post very frequently. Also, due entirely to the fact that many people on here know each other there are refereneces to certain things that an 'outsider' who doesn't know anyone wouldn't get in almost every thread.

It's obvious what the result would be. The result maybe, but I'd be interested to see the margin.

Someone should put a poll on this thread to see what proportion of people are for/against/undecided about the ban. Would be quite interesting.

If we're signing Beye fro RB do you think that Geremi could be being brought in to provide cover for the gap Dyer would leave in the squad? He's played on the wing a lot in the past, and if Gudjonsen were to come in as well we wouldn't notice Dyer had left, imo. Apart from the pace.

I've got Give Up already, particularly like Sleeping In and Nothing Better. What else can you give me along these lines? Maybe not along exactly the same lines, but in a simlar vein I quite like British Sea Power, Open Season's a good album.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see ourselves, Spurs and possibly Everton put up a fight for fourth place (against Arsenal) but I'm not sure I can see anyone dislodging the other three. ManU and Chelsea are too good, and Liverpool are too ruthless and boringly efficient.

I agree. You could even add Pompey to the list of teams who could be top half and do well; they had a good year last season and have added Distin and spent a lot of money on this Muntari.

Difficult to say. If we finished 9th/10th I'd be disappointed but probably just about accept it. Top 8 would be good, and top 6 would be fantastic. I'm mainly hoping to see the real signs of improvement in 2-3 years, so could accept a slight let down in the first year, given how much needs to be done. Bottom half and I'd be livid.
