  1. That's big talk McFaul. We weren't hammered in Spain tonight, in fact, I reckon we played quite well. We were out done by two sublime goals having pretty much dominated. If I have a concern it's our new defensive system, it's bordering mental - The new plan seems to be, Spurs go forward and "fuck it". The defence is so high it's untrue, I'm praying the defenders have the ability to get back once even the most simple ball over the top is played or we'll be in trouble. Before the game tonight I watched the first half of Liverpool's game and almost every attack they had was over the top with fast forwards running on to the ball, if they play it right it could rip us open. Early days though, and we were missing probably 50% of our team.
  2. Speak for yourself mate! Spurs played some lovely football in the 80s thank you very much. Bit worried about the game, we've had a mixed pre season performance wise, and as usual it seems everything is being left until the last minute in terms of finalising the squad. I literally have no idea who will start up front for us on the 18th, Bale played there last game!
  3. I'm hoping Spurs give it a bit more of a go this season. It's a good trophy, and we treated it shabbily last year.
  4. It's shocking isn't it? Do the right thing Wayne, shave it mate.
  5. Thank you! I just spoke to my brother about that and he didn't see it. I thought I was imagining it. He's a twat.
  6. Rooney does it too. I think it's down to a feeling of responsibility as the best player, they try to do everything.
  7. Which reminds me, I must change the avatar for the potential new manager....
  8. No where near as stressed as I was before the France game. Not sure if that's confidence, or resignation.
  9. That'll do! France clearly the more talented side, so a good result for me. Shit ref though.
  10. Lloris, Debuchy, Evra, Rami, Mexes; Cabaye, Alou Diarra, Malouda; Nasri, Ribery, Benzema Gulp.
  11. I wish I could turn it off and relax a bit. I'm at pre-North London Derby levels of strain here. Ridiculous.
  12. I swore, SWORE, after the debacle in South Africa that I'd stop giving a toss about England, yet I'm sitting here an hour and a half before the game and I'm as tense as ever.
  13. It was a shame for Robbo, it pretty much ruined him for a while. He was a great keeper for us, and the automatic choice for England, then after that match he was the shadow of the player he was. He kept making errors, and eventually he was let go. Still, £40,000 a week probably softens the blow a bit.
  14. It was criminal. Perhaps (but probably not) literally.
  15. I don't think it'll make much difference mate, you watch Chelsea go mental with the spending in the window, they'll be much better next year. Liverpool can't possibly be as bad again. Arse will probably hang on to RVP and will add a player or two, not to mention Wilshire coming back. Man United will strengthen without doubt, and City are just in another league and pick and choose who they want. I think this season was the chance for both our clubs, sadly I expect the rest to pull away next year.
  16. You're probably right. The first one is ridiculous though. Comical.
  17. I don't necessarily subscribe to the 'rigging' one, but the third, and definitely the first are iffy. http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/west-brom-2-arsenal-3/
