  1. They sold caicedo for 100 million a year ago man.
  2. This definitely deserves to be in here https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/aug/24/newcastles-saudi-future-may-not-be-what-many-imagined-as-pressure-hits Sunderland fan having an absolute wank fantasy about our owners, just happens to write for a national newspaper.
  3. He wouldn't be all that keen on us signing Sterling though.
  4. I hope hes off to saudi, its telling that none of the big boys have come in for him despite him seeming to think he has a right to be at one of them. His attitude towards brentford has always rubbed me the wrong way, he seems like such a cunt.
  5. Tomori is one im genuinely surprised we havent been linked with all that much.
  6. Aye, their decision making has proven to be excellent in the time since
  7. Seen some italian twitter ITK saying if we're knocked back this time we'll leave it and turn our attention to Alessandro Bastoni at Inter. So presumably that means we're moments away from announcing Thiaw or Tomori or something.
  8. We do have previous for that. The media were going mad over us pursuing Barella and then we announced Tonali instead. We've really done two pieces of huge business so far since the new owners came in, Tonali and Isak and both were without a peep from anyone until it was done.
  9. Lots of meetings to sit in and say nowt this morning so I've gone back to this, some of the clubs they've got finishing above us make no sense to me at all. Villa - Lost the lynchpin of their midfield, douglas luiz, who also took a lot of their set pieces, signed a very different player as replacement in Onana, who is good but will change the way they work massively. Predicted to finish the same place as they did last season. Man U - up to 5th from 8th, based on fucking WHAT?! Nothing they've done this summer really addresses their issues. They've signed one child centre half who is now injured for ages, one who hasn't managed to make the step up from Ajax at Juve or Bayern at the biggest clubs in their easier leagues. A fullback Bayern were happy to let go for very little money and a forward whose best goal return has been at Anderlecht. Chelsea - Still signing a billion players but now they've got a less experienced manager who has less than 70 first team games managed under his belt...anyone having faith in them is insane West Ham - Fuck off, new manager with a totally different philosophy, completely new centre back pairing one of whom is just there til he can sign for man u, their 9000th forward off the back of a great season where he scored 12 (twelve) league goals... And then we're in ninth! we've got a better manager than all but one of those teams (I rate Emery similarly to Howe tbf) we haven't strengthened substantially (yet) but we haven't weakened either and Tonali is back before the end of August, our younger players are all a step up on where they were this time last season(Tino, Hall, Gordon) where we finished above Man U and West Ham, and one win behind Chelsea DESPITE one of the worst injury crisis' in the leagues history. Ninth. Fucking joke.
  10. Signing of the season: Reckon Tonali counts and he's going to be huge for us. Top goalscorer: Isak Most assists: Gordon Biggest surprise: With a more rested/better quality midfield three this season we revert to our stinginess from the season before last and see a huge drop off in goals conceded. Best Young player: Tino Player of the season: Bruno PL finish: 5th Trophies? big FA cup run
  11. Aye, I think Tom Huddlestone is technically a Man United player for this very reason.
  12. Nothing and nothing. Perfectly balanced
  13. The TT Fantasy PL is back once again for the 24/25 season. With no europe to worry about your toon players should be fighting fresh and injury free all season and we have the imminent return of Sandro Tonali to look forward to, at just 5.5 million he might prove to be a real bargain! We had some real stand outs in the FPL last season, with Gordon, Isak and Bruno being our top performers (to no ones surprise) with Schar and Trippier also breaking the 100 point barrier and even Sean Longstaff making a very respectable 110 points! As last season, every man and his dog will have Haaland in and captain from day one (except for @Meenzer ) here is the link to join! https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/auto-join/xpz1h4 For anyone who might be doing FPL for the first time, here is their guide on how to get started! https://www.premierleague.com/news/2173986
  14. Aye, like it or not police have to be held to a standard where kicking a tased man, lying face down on the floor in the head is unacceptable regardless of whats happened prior. You're not there as a an officer to deal out punishment as you see fit and if you decide to do that you should be prosecuted for it. The americans have constantly let shit like this go and thats how you end up with a george floyd, breona taylor or sonya massey. Its controversial and newsworthy if officers are punished for these actions. It shouldn't be, it should be expected.
  15. They both should imo. The bloke for all the aforementioned but we cant have police kicking people in the head when theyre down and finished, he'd already been tased.
  16. Gojira have got the americans all in a tizzy about Satan and shit
  17. Its boring that PSR/FFP has basically made the fun rumour mill nonexistent just as we got rich as fuck. That said, we pulled Tonali and Isak out of the bag with practically no warning. Be reyt wont it?
  18. I've had to mute Kev as hes been pissing himself into a frenzy over Minteh scoring against some part timers in preseason.
