So...is playing rocket league actually fun? I'm not with you on this one rayvin, when you reduce any shooter down to "point and click" and nothing more you're being silly. There is a massive tactical element to PUBG that makes it different to many others, the scale of the map, the number of players, when to drop, where to go, where and when to move as the play area changes, when to engage someone and when to let them go, playing alone or in squads etc. Oh, and PUBG does have a ranking/stat tracking screen.

They've had 4 shots on target in their last 4 games put together. They've scored once. He really does have his way and appears to be immune from criticism from Sky et al.

Thats what Im liking so far, its a game of patience and skill rather than some lootbox bollocks. Its a survival game not a kill most people game which I find way more interesting than sprinting round in CoD or whatever

You could say that about literally any game if you break it down far enough. Gameplay makes or breaks, if they refine this to a really good level then it'll be one of the great imo.

Not speaking french makes it tricky I've only really got the frenchies that come over and do british podcasts like Laurens and Auclair to go off. The former being a bit of a berk. I don't agree on the education front tbf, and I'm not really talking about "former player" pundits either with the people I listen to regularly, when the former pros guest on most pods Im a regular listener of they tend to sound like the dumbest person in the room with the least insight beyond what it was like in their day.

Until you hear Julien Laurens going on a totally nonsensical rant about english people apprently not rating Harry Kane, or french people really caring about the annual goal scoring record for french players because they really want Kylian Mbappe to beat Lacazette (who honestly gives even the slightest shit about that really?) They're just as bad, they just sound fancier. Guys like Horncastle and Brassell or Michael Cox are the most worth listening to generally for me.

Bought as its £20 and a couple of mates are getting on as well. Played my first three games last night and finished 24th, 83rd(ouch) and 9th. I have so far fought against two people and am yet to kill anyone, I'm not actually sure I've even hit anyone. It's really good.

I prefer the wine red/gold top on the looks front. It'll sound excellent though, don't love LPs on the playability front but its all down to personal prefs at that point. How much would that look to set you back in comparison to the standards or whatever there is now? The re-vamp of the line has added a lot more variation in price in the last couple of years.

I thought last nights match was hilarious, showed the likes of Neville and Carragher up badly on sky and Shearer piped up on twitter as well with his hot take on *non-england players* terrible dive. The only thing I missed last night was *non-england players* tackle which was apparently awful (I'm presuming it actually wasn't) anyone got a replay of it?

We're in the middle of a run of games playing Saturday/Wednesday/Saturday/Monday where we can actually go toe to toe with all but last nights opponents and get points. Is it really such a logical leap for people that they can't get their heads around rotating the squad so that we have the right players available for games we've actually got a hope of winning? Love this, much as I've been annoyed with Shelvey this season what exactly has saivet done in his newcastle career to get this much backing? He absolutely gave away west hams first then made up for it, a neutral. Before that game he was one of the worst signings we'd ever made, totally pointless, and now hes some sort of trump card marquee player.

Lets not pretend it was just Troops, I was definitely expecting a hiding. As it is I though that was hilarious. TBF to us there were some good performances today and we should take some confidence that we can get proper points from our next couple of games after that.
