Is that only apropos of you being you?

I think Finders is an outlier based on his fine as he's lower league player. The rest line up reasonably well. I don't know how they decide on games v fines like, is it their historic disciplinary record that leads to extra games?

Just looking at the numbers, the scatter plot would be reasonably linear. Low ban = high fine. Shelley fell between the two on both. Whether the slur fell between the 2 is more subjective.

Every Thursday there's mobile food vendors in the square opposite Greggs. Zapatista, Fat Hippo Burgers, Tandoori Hut etc. https://www.morecobalt.co.uk/journal?tag=tasty%20thursday Last of 2016 was on the 15th. I haven't seen the schedule for 2017 yet, but always worth checking if owt good is coming.

Love it when Zapatista come to Cobalt on Tasty Thursday and I can go crazy on a £5 burrito

Reading back I said national, but that's backfire I suppose. Germany have flirted with the right wing to a greater extent since then too like

That was insurance for workers though. First in Europe to provide universal health care.

Yeah, which I think makes the results more instructive. If what you say is right it reflects poorly on the French population that they think their press is still too left wing and suggests the press only reflect left leaning issues to the extent that the right wing population will tolerate it. I guess, as pioneers of national healthcare and all that, Brits probably consider social care to be an intrinsic part of our identity on the whole. If we see the media attacking our health & education institutions or siding with state or other institutions of authority we tend to oppose it. I think if the poll was done after Boyle's olympic ceremony we'd have been further outliers. Are we different to the French in that regard? They're most protective of the dictionary right?

It was a joke about the earlier conversation that says people will be dismissive of any evidence they disagree with. It's a comparison of how europeans perceive bias in their countries. In most countries the number that perceive a left wing bias outnumber those who perceive a right wing bias. In the UK, the number that perceive a right wing bias outnumber those that perceive a left wing bias, more than in any other country. Why are we special in this regard?
-
Interesting question. Perhaps Brits have a propensity to lean towards supporting socialist values like the free NHS, free education and social safety net but vote in naked self interest when it comes to paying for it.

Consecutive 7th places but only in a spell of 4 years in the top flight. He's right that this 10 years in the top division isn't something they've achieved since the 40s/50s. I wouldn't make the case that Newcastle were better off with Pardew than we are with Benitez by virtue of finishing in the upper echelons once. That said, I was talking to the mackem season ticket holder who sits opposite me at work yesterday about how lucky they've been when getting 40 points or less to only be relegated 3/10 times. We've been relegated 2/3 of the times that we've got 400 points or less, more than twice as frequently.

Danny Baker talks about being spendthrift as a positive. He's never had any money in the bank he reckons. He had to borrow from Chris Evans when he got cancer and couldn't work. Worked harder once he was better and paid him off. Can't enjoy it while it's in the bank. That's fine I think, if you are living the high life. But people will spend £10 a day on shite. Miserable canteen food/drink when you throw away better food unused and mouldy in the house at the end of the week. £50 a week pays for a lush meal out. Spending £10 a month on spotify rental isn't enjoying money to me, there's a small convenience to it, but it's more enjoyable to use spotify free and have an extra £120 a year to buy gig tickets or CDs/MP3s you own for life at high quality. I see that as making money work for me to be enjoyed while young. Shit canteen bait and ephemera is not something I look at and think "that's worth an hour of my time spent in the office" Faster cars are a lot more fun than slow ones, so I'm not as opposed to spending on those. Unless you live with your parents, in which case, have a word.
-
You do the bait, I'll do the drink. Now, who's buying their booze anywhere but Aldi? Didn't someone mention Waitrose ffs?* *EDIT: strictly speaking, outside of special occasions no-one should be drinking owt but tap water obviously. I splash out on a bottle of cordial every few months to flavour mine.

I think adios asked fish to assume 2-1 across the board in his statistical trend analysis. I don't think adios realised I'm the one keeping score and if you don't vote in the poll you don't get any points. It's meant to stimulate traffic, content and debate (piss taking). The opposite of what adios wanted to contribute Not even sure if fish is keeping his sheet up to date? Mine's a ball ache without tracking people that don't get any points as well.
