1. No probs. Thing is Ive seen a number of people say they can get videos streaming with just XP and media connect. You wouldnt have to upgrade with that VMware prog. It just mounts the OS like Virtual CD and by the sound of it you can just click an icon on your desktop to start running MCE
2. I had a feeling you were going to post exactly that earlier; can you PM me details, in the right direction? 117825 plenty of torrents for MCE. Looking at some posts on other forums it looks like there may be problems with installing MCE over XP as an upgrade. Found this on xbox-scene "You need to search these threads, as this has been answerd like everyday since week 2 of the 360 release. Keywords: virtual VMware MCE xbox360 Stream "Dual Boot" VMware is a virtual machine app that will let you run a second OS from your current desktop. Now go read."
3. I thought you still could with SP2. Have you downloaded the software from here http://www.xbox.com/en-US/pcsetup/alldownloads.htm? if it still doesnt work just get MCE from the *cough* usual places
4. dont forget went to the trouble of getting a 'long one' as well. Basically cracked one off for a bloke
5. sorry mate, we might have to go back a few steps first. What code? is it the code when you first try to run media centre on the 360? You have to download windows media connect from MS and then input the code from the 360 when installing the software on your pc. Im sure for XP theres also an optional update which dl'ds some media centtre code for xp. If its an error code from trancode 360 then xbox-scene forums has a massive thread on it with all sorts of info. maybe this'll help http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediace...der/mcefaq.mspx
6. Media Centre edition, which isnt much different. I think you need an update from MS for XP. I do remeber when I first installed it that it also asked me to install some .NET stuff too. have you got the connection to your PC sorted?
7. I used transcode 360. Beta 2 is out now. http://www.runtime360.com/
8. Is it good like? 117500 I'm not sure, it begs the question, how close do we want to get to a fully-immersive war experience; I think I need therapy after the first level. 117517 try it on veteran. Its a right bastard You got it hooked upto a 5.1 system? Some of the later levels are mad with artillery and all sorts going off around you. Renton, you mentioned earlier nothing beats mouse for FPS, have you had a look at Nintendos next console? The controller is kind of like a 3d Mouse. First game screenshot has just appeared in a magazine
9. demo was a laugh. Think it'll be a good if you play with the same squad of people. One problem with the demo was it was full of yank kids who just wanted to fly the helicopter.
10. Roll the letters forward one and you get the name of a certain multinational computer firm, although Clarke denied it was intentional. Was thinking about treating myself to one of these* today, anyone recommend a couple of games? *360, not HAL 9000. 117168 PGR3, Call of Duty 2, Ghost recon 3, DOA4, Fight Night 3, Ridge Racer 6, Oblivion
11. Uncanny, its like theres a little black man inside mancy.. on Saturday nights anyway
12. its the way its going. I dont watch TV at all nowadays. Any shows that I am interested I dl'd onto my PC and watch them in my cinema room using the xbox. The end result will be having a little box in all rooms that can access your main media library on your pc. Will have to be a bit more careful where I save certain stuff
13. Ive got Windows Media Centre on my PC and a modded xbox as my media extender. I could use the 360 but the homebrew software on the xbox is better than MS's own and it plays more formats. MS have limited the movie playback using the 360 so you cant play divx, xvid (pirates) encoded videos. Some clever spark's come up with a program which gets round it already
14. you can do that out of the box, all games have DD 5.1 sound, just stick an optical cable into an amp. DVD playback is shite though so I wouldnt use it as a DVD player.
15. Ive got the full game rikko, its better than the demo, more repsonsive. Plays great online too.
16. its a great idea but I dont think he'll have to accept less until his contract runs out at Real. If there isnt a decent offer he can just sit on his arse for 100K a week for the next 2 years.
17. never looked into it but yeah doubt it
18. £280 You'll be able to get all the sport games you can on PS2. The best thing about it is Live if you're interested in playing online. You can also use it as a media extender so you can stream movies, music from your pc to wherever you have the 360 these are the graphics usually when a new console comes out you have a few decent games at launcch and then ages until anything decent comes along this has had loads of good games already
19. mines wireless and it makes no difference (warning Gemmill, nerd speak coming) to my ping Renton, RTS you wont have to worry about, there isnt any. The pads really good, probalby the best theres been, its never going to be better than k&m for FPS but its still pretty good
20. Theres no way that would work like Gemmill. No one who's earning close to 100K is going to accept 5. I reckon it would have to be around 25 basic with an appearance bonus knocking it up to around 60K, he'd have to have parity with our top earners if he played those games. I dare say there'd be judgement call on how may games you could best hope for so his per appearance bonus would even be more than 40K (assuming 1 game per week)
21. campest of pizza toppings tbh. Actually I reckon its just beaten by the plain old margerihta, defintely gay though
