  1. He didn't go for the ball whatsoever. It was a bouncing ball and he knew that Haidara was getting there first (with a chance to go past him and knock a ball into the box) so he wiped him out. 3 match ban isn't good enough and does fuck all to help us.
  2. Nolan's from the same estate as Calum McManaman. Something about scousers, obviously.
  3. "Reporting by Aimee Lewis, BBC Sport" She was probably too busy doing her nails or thinking about kittens.
  4. Well, post Sunderland vs Norwich we have. Norwich have climbed above us compared with yesterday.
  5. No consolation, but we've actually risen in the table as West Ham lost by two goals.
  6. I enjoyed that less than the 4-0 defeat last year (which convinced me not to travel to Wigan this year).
  7. Can't really blame the defence too much as there were so many bodies - but the handballs being missed again just sums up the officials.
  8. Brilliant first time pass from Cisse and composed finish from Santon. Get the fuck in
  9. Just like our lot did after Nolan on Anichibe the year we went down.
  10. Shame we sold Alan Smith. He'd be perfect to bring on with a single instruction...
  11. Echo Tooj / Aeris thoughts. Match seems unimportant now.
  12. Not even a free kick given by Halsey. Joke of a referee. That's probably the worst tackle I've seen since Keane on Haaland.

    Cooking

Looks canny. To be fair, I've only done roast lamb a couple of times as the wife doesn't like lamb.
  14. Yep, can't argue with either of those. I was thinking more specifically about Gosling vs Adam Campbell
  15. Gosling brings a player who is relatively comfortable playing in midfield, certainly more so than Campbell would be. He's looked shite so far mind, but with Cabaye out and Tiote and Marveaux both having played the full 90 on Thursday, it's sensible to have midfield cover on the bench.
  16. Happy with that side, in the circumstances.
  17. If Cabaye is carrying an injury, I'd rather see him rested. Pointless getting another 20 minutes from him and wasting a substitution.
  18. Yes, as would I. However, you also need some players who can help the team out defensively. Hence why you see the best from Cabaye when Tiote plays and the best from Santon with Jonas in front. An all out attacking formation sounds appealing but would be absolutely ripped apart by the most average of PL sides. Marveaux is a perfect impact sub to bring on against a tired defence. He has notched two great assists in the last two games, but both have been very late in the game against tired defences.
  19. Hearing rumours that the injury is as a result of scar tissue from a previous injury. Potentially much more complicated to fix. Worst case is he never plays again.
  20. We don't have a player called "Marveuax" so that poll is null and void.
  21. Ah, so it is. Wonder what the odds are on them tackling each other and simultaneously injuring each other...
