We've needed these players since last January. We're going to go a full year (at least) without strengthening the defence. We're stuck with Shola as our only out and out striker if Senegal qualify for the ACON. In fact - for all we know Anita might not turn out to be as good as Guthrie, who is a proven PL player. We've WEAKENED the squad. At least Best and Lovenkrands were there as options. A squad that has a guaranteed 6 extra games this season, games the young lads who played against Atromitos failed to impress in. edit; not to mention we'll be without Ryan Taylor for ages now too.

Isn't the entire thing over in the space of 2 weeks, with a few days beforehand for them to go to training camps? The Senegal boys weren't gone for very long at all last time as they got knocked out so early.
