On subject, the XP glitch is pretty annoying. Wish they'd just do a hotfix and have it rushed through certification, but then the fix might affect other fixes that are coming with the next patch...

Yeah we don't want to know what your penis is getting up to, thanks. Was that too blunt

He'll do a better job than Pardew because he's better than Pardew.

So West Ham are apparently set to open talks to bring in multiple Champions League-qualifying, double Europa League winning current Sevilla manager Unai Emery. Reportedly interested in De Boer, Bilic and Bielsa too. Might well end up with none of them but at least they're trying. Meanwhile our only genuine interest is multiple-sacking, cheap/out of work Steve McClaren. I doubt much if any effort was honestly put into looking into other options. #eeyore #petulant

SackCharnley.com tbh.

The sum total of our efforts to look into anyone other than McClaren is apparently just a tentative phone call to Vieira's representatives. Look at who West Ham are reportedly after. I'm not saying we'd get any of them, or that West Ham will, but at least they're trying. Better to aim high, put the effort in, and be disappointed as opposed to just not trying at all. We're intent on someone who'll slot right in to the role he's given. No risk, excitement, or ambition. Even when the fans are crying out for it.

Imagine there's a good 5-6 candidates out there (and of a decent level, quality-wise) we'd have a realistic chance of bringing in if we actually went after them (might have to relax some of the limitations for one or two). All of whom would excite the fans more than McClaren. So of course the one we seem pretty intent on is the one bottom of everyone's list (if they're assuming assuming Carver isn't a candidate). What would impress me is if we went after a man already in a job, or someone who wasn't already friends with Carr/Charnley. Show a bit of ambition.

Club really can't do anything right. -
Sounds pretty certain that McClaren has the job now. The cheapest, safest, least ambitious, and more than anything, most boring appointment we could have made. Of the 5-6 options we had genuinely had, he's got to be the worst, so of course he'll get the job. At a time when the club know how angry fans are with them, do they really think appointing McClaren is going to improve people's feelings towards them?

Utterly addicted to this. Had a few late nights already

Someone like McClaren?
-
He's not Carver or McClaren. Get him in.

Still going to be Carver.

Class.

Thought Williamson was out of contract too? -
I'd have him here tbh. Ticks a number of boxes. Whether he'd want to leave the City 'project' is another thing.
-
Sorry, forgot everything is going swimmingly at NUFC.
-
Imagine if Bielsa goes to West Ham and we get McClaren... Can see Sunlun being more ambitious and progressive with their appointment too. Same even goes for Watford.
-
Unlikely Carver will get the job, says Douglas. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-new-head-coach-9354630 Also says most of the names we've been linked with aren't likely to get the job. Garde drifting, Galtier not in the frame etc... It'll be McClaren.

Being pessimistic about my shitty football club equals "fuck me you're an anxious bloke!"? Righto You're not in the slightest bit nervy about Charnley being stupid enough to give Carver the job?

Leazes is probably reading this thread, absolutely desperate to join in now. -
Really getting nervous over the prospect of Carver getting the job. Haven't felt this nervous about NUFC since, er, Sunday.
