Willing to do that, as long as it doesn't happen again any time soon. Perhaps we got too complacent at times too. We've got the makings of a very good side, and yesterday won't change that. These results do happen to pretty much all clubs from time to time. I can live with the result and performance if we use it positively - if we learn from it (including Pardew). A lot went wrong in a short amount of time, and I trust in the coaching staff to analyse that effectively. They can't write it off or put it down to being a freak result, or look to blame the officials.

I honestly forgot that Shola was playing at times. Only to be reminded when he wasn't in the right place for a pass or whatever. The thing about the likes of him and Best is that they do genuinely do have some talent. They can do things. But mentally they just don't seem to want to put the commitment in. Their movement is woeful at times. I was really hoping Cisse's arrival would have led to a noticable improvement in their performances yesterday, but saw nothing like it. If they keep that up, then I get the impression they're content being 3rd and fourth choice strikers. Compare that to Ba who is everywhere for us (surprisingly wasn't for Senegal last night).
