Because you have no empathy. Or, I just explained in that very post why I couldn't understand why the subs bother people. To each their own though, not saying I'm right and they're wrong. Still doesn't make up for the lack of empathy. Do you actually know what empathy is? Yes I do, but you dont. Ok. Put it this way, if the subs didn't make sense then I could understand the furore. I'm bothered by Ben Arfa's lack of game-time in general, less so tonight. I'd call you a WUM but I'm in a great mood so I'll spare you the irritation.

Krul seems to have somehow almost completely eradicated his only major flaw that was present even earlier in this very season - his decision-making. No longer are we seeing him in no man's land or caught in two minds. He makes a decision now and he sticks to it. Andy Woodman deserves a lot of credit because it's some turn-around.

Can't understand why the subs bother people. Best was a like for like so it made sense. Perch came on to solidify things and help nullify any chance of a late comeback (something Man Utd are great at getting). Obertan was only on for a couple of minutes, are people really going to complain about that? I though if anything Obertan came on just to be part of a playing team that beat his previous club. I don't think there's too much to read into regarding tonight concerning Ben Arfa. We did very well without him.

Don't see why his age would be a problem, definitely got another 3 years or so in him. It's not like he ever had lots of pace or anything. Will need a replacement in the long-term but for now he has to be kept. We couldn't afford to buy another player of his quality and by all accounts he's a great captain.

Personally I'll see how Ben Arfa gets on during the ACN period and worry/not worry about him after. I'm sure he'll get a fair amount of time on the pitch.
-
Criminal that's he's not been tied down to a new contract yet. I don't think it's over the top for me to call him the best defender that I've seen wear the black and white.

It's bloody fantastic. I've got a lot of time for him.

The first couple of episodes of Blood and Sand were pretty poor to be fair, and the acting did seem a little off. Whitfield, Hannah, Lawless and the truly immense Peter Mensah (Oenomaus the doctore) are fantastic actors though (or were, in Whitfield's case). I'm nervous about the new season because thw show is now without its two lead actors from the first season.

I didn't hear that. I heard Pardew compliment the subs who came on, hence no mention of Ben Arfa. And I'd expect Best to take Ba's place - he's a centre-forward after all. It's the fact that Best or Ameobi will play on their own that should mean Ben Arfa should play a lot more as opposed to competing with them for a start alongside Ba. If Pardew wants the more direct route, he'll have Best and Ameobi. If he wants it a bit less direct, then it'll be Best/Ameobi and Ben Arfa. I have no problem with that as long as we get results.

Here's something to get you wet then. -
Wonder if he'll treat the lads to a holiday on his private island if we get into Europe.

What are you on about? It's not the same tactics - we played a mixture of direct and passing football, and he dropped Obertan and started Santon. How is that the same thing he does every week? So what if he sticks to 442? Last time he tried a different formation we get well beaten. Why on earth would I want Vuckic on? Perch is a defensive player, so I had no problem with bringing him on just to solidify things. Man Utd are so capable of getting a goal and then another in quick succession. Beyond sad that people have to complain about the subs, like they have to blame Pardew for something. Got his subs spot on if you ask me. We're giving him credit for his role in our win tonight, not "sticking our tongues up the manger's ringpiece". Put yourself in the creche for such nonsense. -

Absolutely fantastic performance tonight - full of the belief we so sorely lacked against Liverpool. Every player was outstanding, even the subs did a job. Pardew got it spot on. Also very much warming to the idea of keeping Ryan Taylor on the right wing, meaning Santon can stay at LB. Santon is utter class and I saw the Jonas of old tonight as he looked far more comfortable. Only negative is coming on here and reading the sheer idiocy Ant has come out with. And can the Ben Arfa Brigade please shut the fuck up for once - he'll get his chance with Ba gone for a few weeks. -
It says Virgin Money update, not a replacement shirt. They're only going to put a sticker on it. It's the current home strip anyway regardless of sponsor. I know, should have made that clearer.
-
Clearly just stuck that on an old shirt, hence the different shade of black.
-
Oh, well I'm not traveling to Newcastle to swap a shirt around but that's a fair offer either way. Looks like I'll be stuck with an out of date top for a few months.

What a waste of time this turned out to be http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/evening-chronicle-news/2012/01/04/expat-nufc-fan-creates-strip-with-difference-72703-30058264/

Chronicle has loads of articles on Ben Arfa today actually. Too much to link individually. http://www.chronicle...ited/nufc-news/

Not long to go now. Can't recall ever being this (nervously) excited for a new season of a TV show. Might take a couple of episodes to get used to Liam McIntyre being Spartacus. I think he'll do OK, but it's going to be tough because people are so used to Whitfield's portrayal. Beyond harsh to complain about the two actors looking different, like it can be helped.

I bought one in December... I bet someone just bought one with their Christmas money.
-
I love how my 11-12 home and away tops are now both out of date, 5 months after I bought them. edit; got my years mixed up

Just imagine the puns if it's renamed to the Virgin Stadium
