I do find it particularly disturbing that Llambias now has a say in what players to bid on. Nothing to suggest the man has a single clue about football. Maybe Pardew doesn't want a trouble-maker? Maybe he's happy with what he's got? With that said if we could somehow get Morrison on the cheap then it's a low risk transfer and if it doesn't work out only the player will really suffer.

What I don't get is that Leazes is entitled to his opinion and people are entitled to disagree with him. But neither are going to change the other's opinion so why bother arguing over the same points again and again?

Spot on. The spine of the squad - Krul, Colo, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez, Ben Arfa, Ba plus one or two others like Santon and perhaps Steven Taylor- is very good (on their day at least). Just needs improving in one or two areas and the squad depth really needs to be worked on. It's a small squad as it is and there are question marks over several players. I'd just love for us to hold on the above and build around them. Selling integral players just puts us back to square one.

Funny you should create this thread actually - I'm currently in the market for a basketball game. My options are this, NBA Jam or the 5 year old NBA Street Homecourt. Matt's comment about the fun being taken out of it put me off this a little. NBA Jam and Steet Homecourt would cost me about the same and have a different take on 'fun' (Jam is OTT, whilst Street Homecourt is about tricks as much as anything else).
