Tiote consults witch doctor to help secure Chelsea switch
Monroe Transfer replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
At least the journo has a pun-worthy surname. -
With proper half-decent CBs (Kadar and Williamson?), I reckon we could have at least drawn that. Even with Gosling and Obertan on the pitch. Lambert rightly zoned in on our clear weakness at the back and his team exploited it brilliantly and very professionally. Fair play to them.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Monroe Transfer replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
What two of the worst players in the PL? This is the sort of mediocrity MA has got idiots buying into. You should start making it more obvious when you're on the wind up and when you're being serious. It's hard to tell the difference sometimes.- 10610 replies

Totally agree. One bad game and everyone thinks they are an expert who can do a better job. Nearly as bad as the "Ben Arfa should hand in a transfer request thread" Jesus Christ we lost a game get over it, Pardew's record since he has been here has been second to none with what he has at his disposal. You've not been on here very long have you?- 10610 replies

Oh, it's only the Sunday Mirror. Nothing to worry about then. -
Are you guys actually serious about him putting in a transfer request?

To be fair you can usually blame the play-acting/diving on the same 3 players - Di Maria, Alves and especially Busquets. Take them out and it looks a bit nicer.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

What would you have done differently then? For all my support of him, Kadar might have struggled too. He's clearly not a complete retard, even if he makes a few mistakes.- 10610 replies

100% agreement What games are you referring to? We've been lucky to get anything in 3 games off the top of my head - Man Utd with the pen (draw), QPR (draw) and Wolves (win). In not one game have we been "lucky not to get stuffed 3 goals or more" - QPR and Arsenal weren't good enough up front, that's not luck. Yes, we've been average in some games and got something and there's nothing wrong with that and no-one was over-praising Pardew for them. Good teams don't always win well.- 10610 replies

Of course you can question him. It's all subjective. It doesn't mean you're right but no-one's going to stop you. He's done a lot right in my opinion, with a few questionable decisions. But hey, he sees these guys in person day in day out.- 10610 replies

Obertan: Earths' gravity is no match for him.
Monroe Transfer replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Pardew seems afraid of trying out youth, or dropping his 'favourites' (who tend to just have more experience than other options). It's alright to change something after you make a mistake, Alan. -
What's Keith Gillespie up to these days? edit; still playing, actually, for Longford Town

Ashley apologists and Match Attendees

Nothing to say about the match, Leazes? -
Really can't wait for tonight's El Clasico. Quiet night in it looks like, and a top quality match will take my mind off the shambles I saw earlier. And for once Real Madrid look more likely to win it based on current form. Helps that I'm pretty much neutral when it comes to these two (Villarreal are my Spanish team, don't laugh).
-
The more Parky goes on the less I'm sure that he's just being a WUM.
-
The gap in quality between certain players is far too large. Whilst our first 11 (all fit) is good, their replacements simply aren't on the same level. Marveaux, Taylor, Coloccini and Tiote are all top, top players. Take them out and you're going to struggle. Lose the likes of Guthrie and Williamson (who are at least capable enough) and you're in serious trouble. That "2 players max" line Pardew came out with is simply not enough. We need at least 3, with reserve players making the step up to at least the bench.
-
Yup. Bemusing. Pardew is usually half-decent with his subs, much better than Hughton was at least.
-
Anyway, on a positive note... El Clasico in a few hours!

Monroe Transfer replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
One of the worst players I've ever seen wear the shirt. No hyperbole. -
Looking forward to the media loving our 'fall from grace'.
-
If you're going to be a WUM, at least get his name right.
-
Yeah fair play to Norwich. Actually I take that back as any club playing music after a goal deserves massive amounts of vitriol.
-
Pardew thinks he is, I'll go with his opinion I reckon. Does he? I can't help but think he only prefers Perch because he's older and more experienced. And sorry but I'm questioning Pardew now - he starts Obertan every week after all. Play a player out of position in his place if you have to - guaranteed to be better than Obertan.
-
Yeah, because you've seen much of Kadar lately eh? I find it hard to believe that Perch is better. But hey, maybe he is given how he's started this game and Kadar hasn't even made the bench. But at least give Kadar a chance.
