Have a few fair tabloids saying it, which do of course have no reliability either, but it's the same as all transfer rumours isn't it? Until something comes out from either the player or two clubs theres nothing that's all that concrete. The mails the only decent one i could find on short notice but the rumours been floating around for a few weeks. http://www.dailymail...ik-Pieters.html But that's what they do. They put 2 and 2 together as it were, and come out with something like this: "Newcastle need a left-back. Taiwo is getting frustrated with a lack of games. So let's make up a story linking the two together. You never know, it might pay off and actually happen despite our no doubt complete lack of evidence/quotes to support such an idea". It's just cheap and easy journalism that people will buy into because they like the idea and it's something to talk about. That 'Sportsmail Reporter' is one of the worst, constant rumours every day. No better in my opinion than those services Sky and the BBC run where you can text in transfer rumours during windows. Ever wondered why the journo is anonymous?
-
Either way we need a left back. Transfer window incomings and - potentially - outgoings will define our season.
-
I can't see it happening because I'm only aware of the Daily Mail running the story. I know this sounds patronising but it does astound me that people pay any respect whatsoever to that paper and the stories they come out with.

Haven't seen any sources on this that are any more reliable than Wikipedia tbh.

We should get his mate instead from them instead, some young Canadian guy:

Sammi's quite fast like although looks like one of those who takes a bit to get into his stride. A bit moot anyway like seeing as Obertan doesn't seem to want to use his pace, even when he the full-back is isolated. Yup, exactly. People might blame it on a lack of confidence and I appreciate that some in the stands aren't helping matters, but he's had more than enough chances to build his confidence up. He's not at Man Utd any more, with the demoralising effect of hardly ever playing.
-
If Perch deserves a chance than so does Kadar, agreed.
-
Is Obertan really faster than Sammy? I mean all Obertan does is run a bit, stop, play it back/lose the ball.
-
At centre-half? Mind, Obertan should be decent in the air, what with his massive fucking heed. I meant in the 11, I'm assuming one of Williamson or Colo will take the other CB spot if not the both of them together.
-
Still reckon Pardew will persist with Obertan and Perch.

How do you know what his IP address is, Stevie?

Well at least this guy is calling the stadium by its proper name.

The Daily fucking Fail, again. I'll let OP off as he's foreign.

I'll just stream it.

Daily Mail's 'Sportsmail Reporter' strikes again.
-
I think that's very harsh but you go to more games than I do...
-
Ah, fair enough. Makes sense.
-
If he is deemed better (by the management/scouting team) than some alternative who isn't in the ACN I'd rather have him and lose him for a little while, lets face it, it's unlikely Mali will be out there for long and his signing isn't just about January. And the following January too. No it's every 2 years IIRC.
