January Transfer window 2012- Deadline Day Madness

Call me crazy but perhaps some of you ought to calm down and complain about our transfer dealings after the window, should you feel the need? It's pretty tedious reading comment after comment of presumptions. -

Would be delighted with any of that lot, less so with Davies. Cissokho is a fullback though isn't he? I mean great if we could get him in plus a CB. Yeah, pure fantasy I know - in fact I'm worried that the club will now go after a CB instead of a FB because we're operating to such a strict budget. We need both and bringing in a striker is imperative. -
Steve Bruce is going to enter.

The worrying thing is that I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

I'm embarrassed for you. Not as much I am for you. Was one of those "I'll get your coat" comments, just in case you took it seriously. I still laughed.

Telling someone on the internet that they're wrong.

That would work if if we'd gone a whole season with little involvement in terms of Ben Arfa playing. And if Ben Arfa's transfer was dodgy. Except he has played, it's only December and people are looking for conspiracies because he chose to play Vuckic and the Ameobis instead. Yes he may be talanted but players do have different roles and maybe Pardew felt the aforementioned subs were more suited to what he wanted. In retrospect I imagine he realises that perhaps Ben Arfa might have a better option. He'll probably play the next game and some people will feel a little silly.

I was considering accompanying that sentence with a smilie but none of them would convey the correct emotion.

Sorry Ant but the above is just unreadable unless I highlight it. Don't make me change theme! -
Scott Dann is out for 6 weeks with a ruptured testicle.

I'm embarrassed for you.

Maybe Pardew didn't want to risk tampering with a team that had served us well in the first half. End of the day I just hope he's learned from possible mistakes made yesterday.

No we haven't. Don't make stuff up.

u mad bro?

Like Leazes said, on another day we'd have won that. In fact if there was 10 minutes of first half injury time, I think we'd have scored. Santon was delightful.

Blackburn we did. Wolves and West Ham last season we did.

I thought today was probably Obertan's best game.

I'm going to put it to down to today just being 'one of those days' but we have to get maximum points from the next 2 matches. We'll do very very well to get anything out of the 2 after that. I don't have a problem with how we're playing but the results are starting to worry me. If we don't get enough out of the next 2 and struggle against Man Utd and Liverpool we could go as many as 9 games without a win. The games after that are winnable for weeks on end tbh, only Spurs away worries me.

Re Cabaye's set-pieces: was a mix of them being poor and them being well defended. I thought his passing game was fine today. I still can't quite believe we didn't win that. We had 17 shots to their 2, 9 corners to their 1, and 60% of possession.
-
We weren't struggling though. I don't think we were as desperate for subs as you make out. Yes it may well have aided us but I can understand why Pardew didn't want to changes things around too much. I personally wish he'd made changes sooner and I guess he has his reasons for not playing Ben Arfa. I think some of you always assume the worst when it comes to him.

To be fair the players that were replaced were playing pretty well. But yeah, baffling why he put the Ameobis and Vuckic on ahead of Ben Arfa.

Ba is an astounding footballer.
