  1. I thought it was 3-4 weeks at the time of injury. This day just gets better and better. I'm still at a loss as to how we could sell our only LB without getting a replacement in. We don't owe Liverpool anything, we can make them wait and if Enrique got injured on Saturday then too bad.
  2. Ah, that's alright then. It's not like we've been needing another striker (on top of Ba) since January, and it's not like we've known Enrique would probably be off for months now.
  3. Yeah, some of his honest insight is what I'm craving at present. Just want to hear what excuse he'll be using. Just to finalise this matter as yet another utter debacle in the history of Ashley-led NUFC. Didn't we buy Enrique for £6.3-6.5m originally? Meaning we've actually made a loss on him? Brilliant business.
  4. I want to hear from Pardew as soon as possible because I find it near-impossible to believe we'd be so stupid as to sell our one fit LB 48 hours before our first match of the season without a replacement. This move has been on the cards for months, and they finally agree to it NOW? You have to laugh.
  5. I can only hope it's taken this long to agree a deal because we've been waiting to make sure we've got someone (i.e. Pieters) lined up. If not we might as well have agreed said deal a couple of weeks ago and given ourselves some time to replace him. This isn't some friendly we're playing on Saturday, 2/3 points lost could have a big effect on our season.
  6. Deal agreed, official. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news...ee-enrique-deal Beyond a joke if we line up against Arsenal without a recognised LB.
  7. Nothing to worry about if it's the Mirror coming out with it.
  8. That sounds a bit pricey for us That's what I'm worried about, can see our lot ruining any possible deal by trying to get PSV to sell him for a couple million less.
  9. Cabaye was in a similar sort of situation too in terms of the club he left - I don't think you can underestimate how attractive the Premier League is to players playing in inferior leagues. That and a higher wage too, no doubt. On paper, Pieters sounds class..
  10. Apparently he fell out with their coach or something, and has a release clause in his contract that if met means they're powerless to stop him moving. Said clause is about £7-8m.
  11. This. Was hoping for a foreign team myself, someone like Bayern Munich. But in truth, anyone but Liverpool (no realistic chance of him ever turning out for Sunderland).
  12. Who? You are such a helmet. Apart from that mistake, have you got the point I'm making? Was hoping for a stronger reaction. And yes, all too well.
  13. Douglas on the case http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastl...61634-29216260/
  14. When is the deadline for players to be registered in order to play on Saturday?
  15. Forget having him on the "top target" list, he should be in BEFORE we sell Enrique. Absolutely nothing to say we can't make Liverpool wait for ourselves to line up a replacement.
  16. I don't know why Ajax would sell him either, since he plays for PSV. Sounds like a good replacement either way, I'll be quite happy if we replace Enrique with Pieters.
  17. Well thank fuck for that, I'm still 24 for a few months yet.
  18. Sounds like it was a relatively quiet night last night in terms of rioting, I think you guys can stop worrying about our game getting called off now.
  19. Legend already in my book, for that Sunderland comment alone. Think I'm going to get CABAYE 4 on the back of my home shirt - the highest praise he can get, I'm sure you'll agree.
