Nani's gashed leg doesn't look as bad as it does in the above pic.

Howay is there any need? This squad can be accused of lacking in quality in some areas and definitely in depth, but I don't accept the criticism about "having something about them", because our lot clearly do. Wolves aren't exactly the example you'd pick to make the point like, seeing as they're below us and have spent the lions share of the season not having had anything about them. Tbf. Sometimes being today, and before Pavlyuchenko scored. Just to clear any confusion that my badly worded post may have encouraged.

That's how to get back into the game after going behind after being in front. Shame we've got less about us than the likes of Wolves sometimes.

First goals of the season. Good for us, really.

Williamson is an average defender, but you can't underestimate how important his partnership with Coloccini is to the team. That was Pardew's biggest mistake yesterday, unsettling the unit at the back. Especially with Guthrie on the bench, there was no need. Not that i think Guthrie is any good out wide particularly, but it would have meant the back 4 left alone with Simpson on Arteta instead of Taylor running away from Arteta and Guthrie whatever people on here think of him, would have offered more going forward than the other two did yesterday. This. I think we can only hope that Pardew learns from this.

I thought he was injured yesterday? -
And he has made a sacrifice (fight is in Germany). It's on! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/9416218.stm

I'll avoid the match if he does play. I'm that bitter. -

If he's actually being serious, I'm sure it was the least satisfying 30 seconds of her life.

Pardew: -
I want to confirm our status in this league and then write the rest of the season off. It's been decimated by injuries, selling Carroll, and the Hughton debacle. It was off to a bad start in all honesty when we didn't get a striker in during the summer. The January window was an utter joke, don't get me started on that. The coming pre-season will be absolutely massive for us. We need to push on from wherever we end up.
-
Agreed. I appreciate that he was played out of position but that doesn't excuse his performance.
-
Anyway, not in a good mood. Got loads of work to be getting on with. Plus a job application that asks for 2 essays neither of which I am in the mood to write right now. Sacrificing going out tonight to get the aforementioned done when I could really do with a drink. And worst of all, the Toon lost. Weekend sort of ruined by football yet again.

I get the impression Haye is willing to make a sacrifice when it comes to TV rights if that's what gets the fight to happen.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/9415727.stm Chisora - Klitschko fight canceled again. Haye vs Klitschko good as confirmed now, surely Chisora must be absolutely livid.

I love how the media go on about Everton's injury problems, like we have none of our own.
-
Are we trying to break the record for most number of points dropped from winning positions in a season? This year alone; we've either drawn or lost against Spurs, Sunderland, Everton and Bolton when we've been in front for part of the match. That's 9 points dropped. We rarely seem able to push on and its here that our lack of quality and depth shows.
-
I still fail to see what we've gained by letting him go.
-
Everton now have the same number of points as but have a game in hand that we'll be played during the week. So expect to see us drop to 10th before the next game. A win today would have had us in seventh (sixth if Villa were better). So annoying.
