Can't believe this is actually happening. If we actually get a replacement in I'll be stunned. The Ashley era hits a new low. -

I'd love to know the truth in all of this. After 2 rejected bids, were we really not going to sell him? And if so, in the context of our season and the timing, why? Did he and he alone decide to put in a transfer request? -
I can't quite believe he'd put in a transfer request. I find that impossible to comprehend, and absolutely disgusting on his part if there's any truth in him actually wanting the move. Amazes me how many dark days this club will put us through.

Fuck him. -
Even if we keep Carroll, this will have been an awful transfer window for us. Not strengthened at all, unlike every other club around us. With Xisco and Routledge gone we're actually slightly weaker.

For fuck's sake, I'm sick of this. We should be concentrating on a striker to complement him, along with a winger. Sick of this circus. -
Why quote this nonsense?

I really hope that no-one out there thinks this is anything close to being good business. It's terrible business, and once again Ashley et al will deserve the blame. Unless we magically manage to spend the proceeds on adequate replacement/s. -
Apparently Villa sources are saying he's failed his medical and will not be joining.

And there is NO WAY on God's green earth that Carroll is worth £35 million quid. you just can't turn that money down, almost means, in financial terms, that the relegation never happened. Would have loved to keep him (still hoping in a way) but this is just ridiculous cash they're talking here. He's still one loss of temper away from clink. Without his goals/an adequate replacement relegation very well may happen again. How can you not see this? To be fair we've coped quite well with both him and other equally as important players missing over the past few games. I'm confident we can stay up if he moves on. We've also dropped 4 points when we had numerous chances to get a second goal, because our strikers aren't good enough. And this is our good form. How will we cope when we hit a bad patch? His goals so far this season have brought us several points too.

Oh please don't be true. What a horrible day this is turning out to be. £35m is more his worth but we can't sell him now because a.) we can't reinvest the money, and b.) his goals would have probably kept us up. Fact of that matter is that we'll probably get more money out of staying up than we would for selling him. Going the rest of the season with the likes of Ranger, Best, and Ameobi is unthinkable.
-
If it was reinvested immediately, and wisely, then yes. I fully expect him to go, and no-one else to be brought in other than Ireland. Who I assume is still incoming, just attention has been diverted elsewhere.

Would really like Larsson here now.

Herp derp

If we were able to coax the 08-09 Ireland out from his current awkward form and state, we'd have one special player on our hands. He's only 24 so I'd like to think we could. Villa didn't work out for him, it happens.

As opposed to a female man?

I'm assuming the pink room is Ireland's.

Anyone watching the Espanyol - Villarreal match? Great stuff. End to end. Rossi has them 1 up at the half time.
