  1. Excellent new avatar, Ketsbaia
  2. Anyone want to venture a guess as to how soon we can be assured of top flight status for the upcoming season? I think that is what everything depends on...
  3. Could someone explain the timing in regards to a new owner for the club? If a buyer does come out of the shadows interested in buying the club... when would he/they do it? As soon as the season is over? Would that be enough time to go through the process of buying the club, establishing the setup, and getting some transfers in before the next season? Or will the buyer have to show their interest before the end of the season when the status of the club has not been determined? And if that were to be the case, would anyone do that?
  4. Would Blackburn be able to afford the backroom staff (scientists, technology, etc.) that BS brings with him?
  5. Actually, in fairness I probably should have kept my mouth shut. Once my brain caught up I realised that it's not just a case of making a couple of amendments and use a new domain name. All the stuff done around the NUSC to date (links in online articles, newspapers etc) will all use the current domain name. I think I'll take my own advice and STFU Actually, Maggiespaws, you can still register those particular domain names and have them set as "Park and Points" on your hosting companies Domain Name Servers. That way, you can phase out the current domain name for one that may be a bit easier and more "marketable". Apologies if you already knew this but if not, it may help.
  6. Yes i did watch the match and your comparison with beye is baffling, beye is experienced and consistently gets forward and passes theball well. Enrique looks like he has no ability in the sense of passing and vision. I dont think there are many who would rate enrique tbh. To be fair your a bit of an idiot who always posts shite, stop complaining about every view made. Thanks How do i post shit? do i talk rubbish about the team and players? You never seem to have an opinion of the topic in hand, just rip other peoples posts apart. I dont understand the stick you give me besty? You stay classy, San Diego?
  7. You might want to tell Caulkin that... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle5150659.ece Well heres what I know, there is no 22/11 deadline day for anything other than Joe Kinnear himself. Ashley has never set this date, Keith Harris has no notion of that day being important even fucking Orville knows nowt about it. Its another bit of JFK bollock spouting, he may see it as an important date but nobody else within NUFC does. People inside the club (and I dont mean tea ladies or a kid working on the ticket desk) are now admitting that the time it takes to do these things properly and the current lack of any bid at all mean that it is highly likely (if not almost certain) that any potential purchase would not happen before 31/01. Nobody other than another Mike Ashley will purchase this club without a full due dilligence and frankly MA at least could put some faith in Shepherd, nobody is that daft with Ashley. Which, as I said earlier has to lead you to wonder if any potential purchaser would be stupid enough to take over a club that they have no realistic chance of turning around before the end of the season seeing as they cannot purchase players. Will they then hold off and if we go down purchase us at a hugely reduced price? or will they go through with the sale at £250million or so and then (if we're relegated) watch the value of their purchase slump and take the shit for it? I dont think they would. I beg your pardon, but I am a bit naive at this: If there is a buyer in the works, would they be able to arrange for the purchase of players (through MA I would imagine) in the upcoming window? Wasn't Robinho purchased for Man City prior to the actual takeover of the sheikh? The way you'd have to look at it is would you? whether you were the buyers or MA, if the deal hasnt been sealed then MA is not going to be stupid enough to fork out £20million to buy players for the new boys and in turn they're not going to hand over that kind of cash until the sale is complete. What would happen if it fell through? They'd have bought us 3 players for nowt. I was figuring it would depend on how far the sale had progressed. If the due diligence is going through now, and the deal is near completion by the time the window opens, why not? I realize that this is reeeeeeeeealy stretching it but it is possible, isn't it? trying to remain optomistic...

  9. If that is the case, would they wait until after the Chelsea game to announce this bit of news or was JFK talking nonsense again?
  10. I remember "watching" that game via message boards (was it this one?) and the text updates on the bbc website while at work. When we had won I hit my desk so hard that it broke at the end (one of those built in a cubicle) and immediately asked if I could go and have a smoke break. Forgot all about that...
  11. Could Villa afford Owen's wages?
  12. Not necessarily a bite but this did get me thinking... what local teams? They are third from the bottom in their league local college team with a record of 5 wins, 12 losses and 1 draw. I would rather wake up at 7:45 in the morning and go down to the pub to watch NUFC. FAO Zathras: Don't know if you have seen this. Came across it in my searches: Miami Tycoon and FC Barcelona bringing football back to Miami
  13. Mark Hughes would be temporary, wouldn't he? Some say he is the next in line to take over at Old Trafford when Ferguson steps down.
  14. No. Thanks for that. Very much appreciated.
  15. Could Owen be speaking on this topic to boost interest in the club for potential buyers?
  16. someones obviously not been to craven cottage before. Stevie how would you describe Fulham fans? Half them are yanks and there's nips on holiday who still think Inamoto plays for them, not even kidding. The rest are hoorah Henry's who used to go to Twickenham. I have noticed that and have absolutely no idea as to why that is the case unless it was because of the Americans they have had on the team in the past... but then again, I can't think of one American supporter for Sunderland when Reyna played for them.
  17. Was thinking the same thing. I find it a bit concerning that nothing regarding news has come from the club itself but instead through Kinnear. You would think that even Joe would realize that so far, nothing he has said has come true but has been delayed. He (like everyone else) is losing credibility.
  18. I suspect you were a very talented child at school, yet rebellious and you never really fulfilled the potential your intelligence demanded. You are easily bored especially now as you are not being stretched. I would prescribe you Ritalin and suggest an adult learning course to channel your energies and help you to finally begin to self actualise.
  19. What's the craic with that, then? Barton and Guthrie really vanished after around 60 minutes too. Probably as they were playing so deep. Was very worrying how much of the ball we gave them, even in the 1st half. I must say that they knocked it about quite well, but they were getting through far too easy. Is that a centre midfield issue? No idea. I suppose it's just a lack of natural fitness as I would imagine he's decent and puts a shift in during training (as that's the only explanation I have for him having played as much as he has). You'd expect Barton to fade given it was his first start in ages. As for Guthrie? It's a worry if he hasn't got a good engine on him as he's not good enough in other areas to get away with not having one. True, Gutherie has faded every second half so far. I think that the incident against Hull and the suspension has really affected him. Up to that point, he was looking strong... Don't agree there, I would say every single game I've seen him play (including friendlies and all of the other games when Keegan was in charge) he has faded. I think he is a canny player but he looks like he has no engine. Mind you there were a lot of them blowing out of their arses on Tuesday night. I think the three games in eight days (especially as we played most of the citeh game with ten men and the nervous energy of a derby game) had caught up to us but I still think the squad doesn't look as fit as they shoud. Good points and agree with a lot of what you said. I can see where he has faded from the beginning but I still think that the dip in form was the strongest after he came back from suspension.

  21. I took an in depth poll during the match at the pub... I was there as well as two mackems. One was decent enough but his mate was a total jackass. He stuffed his over sized gut into a size medium top and had greasy hair with one of those string wraps people get when they are on holiday in Disney world or some caribbean country. Looking like this, he tried to act all hard and even got a bit belligerent when the free kick went in. It was the decent one that took him out of the pub to find somewhere they could properly celebrate... so for me 50/50.
