Strange for Taylor to be giving his bit to the papers and not starting like. Anyway...Delighted that Colo and Krul are back and starting, chance for Cabaye and Tiote to get back into that great partnership of last season. Hoping this is 4231 with Ba in behind Shola.- 756 replies

Ba is nailed on to leave, get over it.

No. Let him go. Trying to fit him into the 4231 system is a problem. Replace him and get Debuchy and a young prospect...Pardew mention a "young serbian" in his interview.

I quite like what both Steven Taylor and Pardew have had to say. Good build up. Clearly expecting us to hit some form and has confidence in the group. Talking Cabaye up and its needed. Cabaye hitting some form now could be valuable. Especially now we have our big hitters back and pretty much at full strength. When the likes of Cabaye and Tiote get in sync and work well with whats in from of them we will score goals, we have an in from Ben Arfa and Ba scoring goals, if we can get Cisse in on the goals as well we can seriously kick on and push 4th rather than batteling for 5th and 6th. Tomorrow is a MASSIVE game! 1-2 Cabaye and Shola- 756 replies

The last home game was. I think its a follow on from europe where they put the £15 offer on the sell remaining tickets.
-
Going to be a key feature in us kicking on and getting into top 4 form. Be nice for them to have a settle run together in the side.
-
Could happen like and i wouldnt be suprised. Those two did well against Man U last year.
-
Never liked Deschamps, always seemed like a prick when he was at Chelsea, undoubtedly a talented footballer and promising manager but never liked his tone. Didnt Ben Arfa piss him off and done a runner to come here. Could that be the root of his arrogance against us? Simple thing is he is talking shit...Both Ben Arfa and Cabaye have played more for Les Bleus whilst being here. Showing they are quality players playing in the PL.
-
Looking forward to him coming off the bench on Sunday. He loves playing the unwashed.

I'd settle for a draw but i really think a win on Sunday would be perfect for us kick on and attack the top 4. We need to show some strength from last season and with our key players back why not now? Going to be our strongest team of the season on Sunday...i actually fancy us for a good win. 3-1. Cabaye, Taylor and Cisse. -----------------Krul-------------- Anita---Taylor---Coloccini---Santon ----------Cabaye---Tiote------- Ben Arfa-------Ba------------Jonas ----------------Cisse------------- 756 replies

How much do you think Jenkinson at Arsenal would cost? Looks a canny prospect at RB.
-
Fair enough about them two, still would be nice to get someone in of similar ilk. As for Debuchy, he will only have 6 month left on his deal so id presume he would be available like.
-
I think if we stick to 4231 and use Ba centrally in behind Cisse then we can wait for a striker. They will come good together. Jonas ans Ben Arfa out wide with Cabaye and Tiote in the middle. We are crying out for defensive cover, like we were in the summer. So we still need a FB and a CB. Should we get what we need then i'd let Simpson go for a nominal fee rather than free at the end of the season. Debuchy should be obtainable for 5mil in January and would still like us to bring him in regardless of his form, he doesnt want to be there. Douglas im not so sure about, would imagine he'd want to be 1st choice alongside Colo. Thing is, there isnt much else available except from that young ditch kid Van Dijk. If we could get a striker too that would really help us push on, especially now Vuckic is out for the season, we need another young lad to come in and push...Jordan Rhodes or Jay Rodriguez?

Debuchy, Shawcross and Rodriguez at Southampton.

We've been very poor so far, once again we struggle to start a game well. Getting a bit of a worry now dont you think? Reading have been the better side. Harper has showed once again why he is still a PL keeper but is being let down by sloppy play and poor positioning from both his centre halfs. Williamson more so. Santon has been decent going forward but still needs to improve massively defensively. Perch hasnt been bad, couple of great blocks but i think i'd put Anita on for him at half time and get a little bit more from our right hand side. Bigi has been class, so too has Tiote but its a holding partnership in the middle. We need more from Ben Arfa and most definitely a wasteful Jonas. Ba and Cisse have had nowt to go for! Sort it out lads.
-
Nice side. Would suggest that Bigi is already ahead of Anita, Gosling and Abeid for that CM spot.
-
Available on a bay in Malaysia Great film, one of the best I've seen in ages. Making a 2nd too.
-
Agreed. With Colo and Cabaye I'd have fancied us for a big away win, still think we will get the 3 points but it won't be as easy. Think Pardew will throw down a challenge to Anita in the middle with Tiote and Perch at RB. Don't think Pardew will drop Perchinio. If it were my choice I'd play Anita at RB and have Bigi in there with Tiote. 2-1 Cisse and Ba.

Manchester United v Newcastle United

Its amazing how people see the game very VERY differently. Tiote was 90% at his absolute best last night, thought he looked very sharp actually. Some great skill, strength and his customary hard tackling nature. I loved it when the ball was dropping out the air and not only did he control it perfectly on his chest but on the turn too. Gosling was piss poor in the first half, offered fuck all, second half he was marginally better getting forward. Should have scored twice and was unlucky with a long effort.
