Is that actually reading, or just looking (probably squinting now).

American Psycho was funny, it's hilarious it always gets so high up the best ever book leagues. It's not bad (well ethically I suppose it is), but come on. I reckon you're a Jackie Collins man. 66186 Catherine Cookson tbh 66193 Must be awful knowing she's not going to write any more. 66197 I was under the impression she only ever wrote one story with a slight alteration to the characters/circumstances with each new book. More of a Charles Bukowski man tbh. 66204 Yes, a computer could probably do her job. I don't read anywhere near enough tbh.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I've always thought Irish immigraton was laughably bad, I've walked through, beeped and muttered something about my watch and they've just waved me on. What on earth happened? It's the only airline I'll fly over there as RyanAir are crooks. 66189 I was on a 747 taxiing at Shannon, at the rear, when all of a sudden there was an explosion behind me. The plane slammed its brakes on, but the cabin crew froze - they were clueless. Anyway, there was fumes coming out a vent which made me dizzy, so I took the initiative, undid my seat belt and got up. I was the first to do this, and it sparked mass panic, and I was actually one of last off the last off the plane, ripping my arm on the emergency shoot on the way out. Turned out it was a door that exploded - had it done that in mid air the consequences could have been disasterous, especially for those sitting near it (always fasten your seat belts!). This was in 1992, and despite having flown over 100 times since, I am still shit scared at take off.

you'd take the risk of letting someone carrying a rucksack and screaming he has a bomb simply carry on regardless? .... I'm not sure what is more insane... 66183 I'll be honest, I haven't read the case in depth, and won't until the facts are clearly established, but how was he supposed to get a bomb through immigration? Virtually impossible now I would say, although security in the US was a total joke before 9/11.

You're from Ireland, aren't you? I love the way they have immigration there at Shannon airport, presumably because they turn back so many Irish people, and it saves them a 7 hour trip. Had a very bad experience on a plane there once - never flying Aer Lingus again!

I've quite fancied reading some more Iain Banks, I've only ever read 'The Wasp Factory' tbh. 66152 Ive read pretty much all of them. (I gave up on the science fiction ones fairly quickly) My personal favourite is "The Bridge" 66162 He writes as Iain M. Banks for his science fiction stuff I believe??? I've heard it's canny hard going like. Might investigate some of his other fiction. I thought 'The Wasp Factory' was great. 66163 Complicity is better than the Wasp Factory imo. Haven't read a Banks book in ages though. Ian McEwan is probably my favourite contemporary author. Moving on to another random point, has anybody read Bret Easton Ellis's new book - very mixed reviews.

He has 3 years less on his contract than he had 3 years ago though, surprisingly.

Virtually everything said in the London case was found subsequently to be untrue. 66160 Unlike that case I would imagine there are literally dozens of eyewitnesses who saw exactly what happened. As an aside the Beeb are reporting today that police who shot Menenzes (sp?) at Stockwell tube station may now face charges. 66161 Well there were plenty of witnesses in London too, but all I'm saying is I'll keep an open mind. I noticed that headline on the BBC; expecting a thread from Rob to pop up any minute. 66164 Fair enough re: keeping an open mind. It's a bit different though as there was a chain of events re: the shooting of the bloke in London with no one really being witness to them all, if you see what I mean. 66167 I guess I'm just suspicious because last time I went through American immigration it felt like they might shoot me, the bastards! Not exactly a friendly welcome these days, for sure.

Think I'll have mushroom soup for me lunch today. Does that answer your question? 66118 Good choice 66119 Poor choice imo, much prefer tomato. 66148 Heinz Cream of Tomato is the daddy like. 66150 Actually, I don't like it as much now. They're slowly reducing the salt content, and its spoiling the taste somewhat. Did you know that despite all these government adverts advising you to cut down in salt, there is no real evidence of benefit for most people? Thought I'd add that. Rob will be pleased when he sees this thread has grown until he opens it.

More like those jokes aren't funny any more. I watched it on replay pretty pissed and couldn't raise a smile. Utter crap now tbh.

Robson could have been offered a job as chief scout, a role he had with Barcelona after he stepped down as manager and one which he claims led to one of the best years of his life.

Top post, my thoughts entirely. Also add to that Shepherd's appalling PR and you basically have a shit chairman. We deserve better.

Well, this is NUFC we are talking about. Worst PR ever: FACT.

Depends very much on the type. Hepatitis A is fairly innocuous usually, B and C can be fatal. Not a good thing to have.

Going back to the London case, that lad had done absolutely nothing wrong or anything to raise suspicions other than being misfortunate enough to live in a block of flats inhabited by terrorist suspects. We'll have to see what the truth is in this case, but I certainly wouldn't rule out over zealous policing, especially in the US.

Why's that? Fucking hell, now I'm scared of the present. Night of the Living dead!
-
Whereabouts is it then? Did you used to be a Sunderland Charver? I know I sound like a right old fart but those photos and that forum literally make me terrified of the future.

An example: AFTERSHOK IN THE EYE IS A NICE WAY LIKE AD RATHER STIK PILLS UP ME ARSE N FART THEM OUT INTO UR MOTUH ME SELL TLIKE

Could well be but it's all guess work, hearsay and tittle tattle, isn't it? Now it's out the bag he's got a mystery illness the club should come clean though, otherwise the speculation will continue.
