  1. This was my point to Gloom. They have been playing endless "Bring Back Boris" vox pops almost to the exclusion of anything else, certainly to the 86% of the country who won't vote tory accroding to that latest poll. I'm trying to work out why they are doing this, but Gloom isn't playing ball any more.
  2. Can you list these "moderates"? I can't think of any. Sunak and Hunt are technocrats, but they are far, far to the on the right on the overton window. But the key difference between these and Johnson is that they do not seek to destroy the institutions of the UK in the way he does. They are also relatively honest in their approach. I think you're almost falling into the "they're all the same" trap. That's bullshit, Johnson is our Trump. Labour will comfortably beat any of these candidates, I have 100% confidence in that, but Johnson will degrade and defile politics further given the chance, making it much harder for Labour to reverse the damage. I can't accept this is a good thing.
  3. The last thing I want to see on my TV screen for the next 2 years is that gurning cunt spouting his bumbling lies over and over again. He'll rip the country apart and I'll lose my sanity.
  4. Well aye. Tell you what though I am getting so sick of this tory psychodrama. It's like a shit drama that has now completely jumped the shark. Can we not just get politics back to being about boring men in grey suits running the country competently? Back to the days when politics wasn't really a thing? Putin can get fucked too.
  5. I thought you just did it for free. You do support their editorial policy though. I was questioning why their vox pops were all tories today. They do this shit all the time.
  6. There are virtually no tory moderates left, I can barely think of any, and the ERG will still have a massive influence on the party. Compare likely front benches. Then think what is happening economically etc. Johnson can do immense damage in 2 years, I sincerely hope he doesn't get the chance just to help your bedwetting tendencies.
  7. I'm not convinced Sunak will tbh. But then he did just the last time. Honestly, if I had that type of money would I fuck do a single bit of work!
  8. I'd be surprised if he doesn't keep his job as chancellor, assuming it's not Johnson or some other right wingnut that becomes PM.
  9. They did that de facto last time anyway.
  10. BBC news man, fucking hell. Going around the country exclusively interviewing tory voters and members. Endless vox pops of "Boris got Brexit done". Despite the fact the polls show the tories are barely in double figures. How man @Dr Gloom. This really isn't defendable, is it?
  11. So it's probably Johnson then, but somebody MPs have already said they'd resign the whip if this happened and he's still got the standards enquiry thingy?
  12. Also I think that Johnson being coronated would tip the balance for a VONC, and we'd have a GE pretty soon. So maybe not a bad thing.
  13. On the radio there it was suggested the rules are being drawn up to disadvantage Johnson. Honestly, I really hope we don't end up with this cunt despite the potential hilarity. He's fucking dangerous.
  14. Would Johnson get a majority of the parliamentary votes in that scenario? I thought when he resigned he had less than 50% support?
  15. Honestly, if we get Johnson again I'll be fucking livid. But as Gemmill says, put it to the membership, and that's what we'll get.
  16. It's all a joke to these cunts, as people are literally freezing and starving to death.
  17. There can literally be nobody more divisive for the tory parliamentary party or the country than Johnson. Yet again these cunts are putting party before country. I don't think it will work though, I don't think anything will now. The economy is fucked for much longer than 2 years. If he does get coronated, I can only hope and pray that the end game is him to lose the election and lose his seat with it.
  18. I think they'll "compromise" and promise an election in summer 2023.
  19. Preferably in hydrofluoric acid.
  20. There's a canny few bits of food in my mum's fridge that have seen the same. Mind her fridge is a fucking health hazard.
  21. @The Fish agrees. I can't be bothered with elctric razors, never go close enough. Can't find my usual disposable brand from Wilkos at the moment though. There's shitloads of stuff I can't get any more.
  22. I thought she'd stopped doing that?
  23. Very true, I'm hoping this demographic might be dying out personally, put my faith in the youth. Unless of course we all morph into cunts as we grow older. I've definitely drifted more to the right as I've aged, but don't think I would ever step over the centre line.
  24. I mean how isn't Johnson also a "previously failed candidate"? The tories have no unity candidate, and that includes Johnson more than anyone, has everybody forgot the sequence of events that led to his resignation? It's literally impossible for them to unite the extremes of the parliamentary party. And all this in the background of a catastrophic drop in living standards. Takes some bedwetting this like.
