It's canny for a weekend. It is stuffed to the gills with wankers though.

Michael Clarke's speech at the funeral was different class. A very touching tribute.

Aye. That's about the size of it. -
Btw, I dread to think what the opposition must be like.

Can't understand those fucking stealth ties. What's the point?

Those hipsters with their ridiculous uniform look are all over the shop tbh. Thank fuck I haven't been to London for a while though. And I know exactly what you mean about how fake it all feels.

Surely it's just because Chicago has more people than Austin
-
Already mentioned that. Not relevant apparently

Hope you had a good one, Thomas. Calling you that always reminds me of this:#

As an aside, they changed the laws around clamping on private property and in car parks a year or two ago. If you get clamped, call the police as it's probably illegal. If you get a ticket, appeal it, as the appeal costs the parking enforcement company (I think it's something like £35) and doesn't cost you a penny. So, even if you lose the appeal, it's cost them.

How many English managers are there in the top flight? I ask as it relates to what ewerk is saying in that a lot of players in general seem to want a fast track to management in a top job otherwise they can't be arsed (see Shearer although there's loads of other examples). I think it's in part borne out of players being so well off they don't need to find a job after playing so there's little incentive in 'learning the trade'. Not saying there definitely isn't a problem with black managers struggling to find jobs but I have mixed feelings about the Rooney rule.

That makes absolutely no sense in the context of your argument, i.e. that guns are not the cause of the murder rate being higher in the US than over here.
-
Bring to mind the saying "That went down like a wet fart".
-
There's only two options here, either you didn't understand that the murder rates quoted were per capita or you're arguing that you'd expect the murder rates in countries to rise or fall in direct proportion to their respective populations. Since you appear to be trying to make out it's the latter, what are you basing that on?
-
Nah, not having that like Nice try though
-
It's per capita, you absolute fuckwit
-
It's like logical fallacy bingo this Not content with introducing irrelevant conclusions, we now have the notion that suggesting any tighter form of gun control is equal to all forms of gun ownership for all uses being banned for everyone.
-
So, the murder rate is much higher and two thirds of murders in the US involve guns?
-
The US murder rate is far higher than the UK's. Also, this is worth a read: http://rayrayallday.com/2013/01/11/the-difference-between-us-uk-violent-crime-rates-depends-on-definition-of-violent-crime/

Some classics there like. I remember going to Helter Skelter NYE 1998 with me mate and as Mickey Finn came on I turned and said 'I bet he opens with It's Jazzy" which he duly did.

Whereas ignoratio elenchi is brand new I suppose.
