  1. Gemmill in the barbers there as well
  2. Extremely low Gosforth. Reminds me. I’ve only been for a drink in there once. I was meeting a couple of lads from near there and I just lived about 10 mins walk at the time. So the plan was to have a couple of drinks then get a taxi into town. I was on time but they were about 20 mins late. This was about 7pm on a Friday night. The clientele was a funny mix of young lads smoking joints whilst playing pool and a few grannies with shopping bags who looked like they’d popped to the shops at lunch time and never made it home. In the time before my mates turned up a joy rider who looked all of 14 crashed just outside, ran into the pub then into the bogs, closely followed by 3 old bill. What struck me was that I was the only person in the bar who seemed to pay any attention to it. To the extent I started wondering if I was having an acid flashback. Just a normal Friday night in The Viking presumably
  3. I can’t get over my old school having the nerve to brand itself as North Gosforth Academy. It’s in Seaton Burn The new estates built near that Miller and Carter branded themselves as East Gosforth even though they’re completely on the other side of Gosforth Park and right next to Killingworth/West Moor
  4. Both genuine cunts though
  5. Actually Newcastle Central is a race with them (and beat them last time round iirc). But you won’t really know if the exit polls are looking right until about 3-4am when they start rolling in. Although earlier results will be a good indication of any swings from the last election
  6. Went to the Orbit there a couple of times back in the day. Didn’t see Kes
  7. Best of luck with it, mate.
  8. I don’t really mind the idea of no electricity or the outdoor, composting toilet. But I’d like to do a bit of walking during the day if we went.So the idea of a tin bath in front of the fire being the only means of a decent way to freshen up doesn’t really appeal the absolute killer is the thought of the post pub walk one mile uphill in the dark though
  9. The irony of his comments about Starmer and Sunak being two cheeks on the same arse is that it’s far more applicable to him and Farage
  10. Well I don’t like him at all
  11. There was some mad wife at work the other week trying to show me some article on their website about Starmer and his ‘lefty human rights lawyer’ days where he basically won a case by being good at his job. I’ve not read a word of the sun, to the best of my knowledge, in years. I mean, it came as no surprise it was fucking garbage but they genuinely produce their articles like the reader is about 8 years old.
  12. By the way, I think I mentioned it on here but we’d been talking about a few of us who went to school together doing something as we all turn 50 this coming academic year. Apart from some talk of s festival and what not, this was also suggested: https://www.canopyandstars.co.uk/britain/england/cumbria/dodgsonwood/cottage-in-the-clouds#search_type=keyword&search_text=cumbria& Now that’s the other extreme. FUCK THAT SHIT. Proper shades of this:
  13. They just back the winner tbh.
  14. Well, if you pay Russians peanuts…
  15. Tell them to look both ways before they cross the road 👍🏻
  16. My lass isn’t into them either. Which is obviously good for me, because I’m not going to pretend I wouldn’t occasionally be subjected to them if she was.
  17. It’ll probably come as no surprise to anyone who has met me that I’m not a fan of posh hotels in general. I find the whole experience ridiculous and mildly uncomfortable. I hope that helps, Trophyshy 👍🏻
  18. Yeah, there’s absolutely nothing unusual about the Labour share. Which is historically pretty good for them, if not great. Yet the mainstream narrative is all about disillusioned voters rejecting the two main parties. Is it fuck, it’s people deserting the Tories for other parties (including Labour).
  19. Honestly think she’d be more of an asset to a Labour government as Tory leader. That said, she’s a dangerous, bona fide mentalist so she can get tae fuckin fuck
  20. It’s on the edge though, which is obviously a bonus
