  1. An absolutely nonsensical dig at that.
  2. Yeah. It would give Reform and Farage far too much credibility
  3. Everything she says is reasonable and would resonate with most workers.
  4. Latest electoral calculus MRP poll of polls (updated 22nd June) is mental. Labour predicted to get 450 seats. Reform 19 (videprinter: NINETEEN). Tories 61 seats and that would, if correct, see Ed Davey as the leader of the opposition (Libdems on 70 MPs). https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/prediction_main.html
  5. Not unlike Peston’s absolute determination to make the betting thing a huge, cross-party scandal. Even though there’s fuck all evidence that’s the case and not to mention there’s zero equivalence between those close to the PM using inside information to bet on the election date and, for example, Ed Davey having a few quid in how many seats the Lib Dems were going to win in a previous GE.
  6. We laugh but this is fucking Orwellian levels of bullshit at this point. Liverpool has 5 constituencies. Every single one is Labour (or was until Parliament was dissolved). Electoral calculus gives Labour a 100% chance of winning each one again this time round. Predicting getting 60-70% of the vote in each case.
  7. Should’ve sent the beeb. They’d have found a few loyal ones
  8. Same team for me. Or keep Saka in then have Gordon or Palmer as the option on the bench. At least one of those two should start. Saka hasn’t impressed but being the only one in the side capable of making runs behind their defence has made it difficult for him. I.e. defences being able to double up on him. Due to them knowing he’s the only one in the front 4 (of the starting XIs so far) with genuine pace. Honestly though, you could make a good case for any of Saka, Kane, Bellingham or Foden not starting. If you don’t perform and still start, what sort of message does that send to the likes of Toney, Gordon, Watkins and Palmer? It might actually help those players you leave out. As there’s usually more gaps etc if you come in for the last 30 mins or so. Might give them a much needed kick up the jacksie too. As Holden says though, all this discussion seems a bit moot.
  9. Dave: Barber, do you have anything to keep my hair in. Barber: How about this box, sir?
  10. Probably Edgar but definitely Mainoo or Bellingham. TAA hasn’t played enough there. It’s too different to FB in terms of where you receive the ball, the time and space etc. He’s got the attributes to play there in terms of physicality and skill set but not the know how and experience at present.
  11. I like him as a player but there’s at least 3 better options there just in the current squad
  12. TAA has looked very good alongside Rice in CM though
  13. Well everyone needs to have belief in and fully buy into the manager’s tactics, just for a start
  14. The head fucking chef at a fucking rave? You fucking what? The game’s gone
  15. What a brilliant team performance by Georgia. Completely deserve this after outplaying Portugal. Not just superbly well organised and working their bollocks off for each other. The quality in possession at times has been right up there.
  16. Game hasn’t even started and I’m sick of Matterface already
  17. I quite fancied the Lindisfarne festival this year too. Line up is canny and there’s some good local DJs with a bit of a ‘Balearic’ vibe for after dark. But only in one of the ‘glamping’ bell tents. It’s a fucking pain trying to coordinate getting people my age to go though (4 of us that went to school together have discussed going). The other thing is the very real possibility of less than Balearic weather.
  18. I’ve seen that clip before. The side eye from the nearest dog wondering when they’re going to pull away
  19. They did, that’s right. Venables always rated him iirc. A very ordinary number 10 compared to Pedro. And wouldn’t have been close to being in the top 5 in Italy in that position at that time.
  20. The issue Badenoch will have throughout her public life is that she’s absolutely fucking mental. She’ll end up on GBNews.
