age is a factor but it's a numbers game. we have bodies at CB in reserve - players happy to play in that position. we don't have any rotation options at RW if miggy goes who have shown they want to play in that position or who can perform to the required level. i'm all for selling miggy too, but failing to replace him is a big gamble.

I love Tino but if he had trippier’s technical ability he’d be some player
-
goals win games. murphy has been making and scoring goals in this run from RW. tino is a great, high energy full back, but he often has a brain fart in the final third. i wouldn't want him to be isak's main supply line from the right. like it or not, RW is a specialist position just as much as CB - we've seen consistently this season that neither gordon nor barnes fancy playing on the right. you'd think they would be capable of doing a job there but both struggled to hit the levels they show in their natural position, that one assist from gordon for that isak header aside. i doubt howe will be happy to lose miggy if he isn't replaced. it would cripple the depth in out frontline and potentially derail our champions league charge if murphy was to pick up an injury.

3-1 to us. Goals from Matt Ritchie, Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser and Dan Gosling
-
i hate to break it to you, but your opinion of where the squad's vulnerabilities lie is
-
tbf to murphy, and i've been his biggest critic, he has been playing out of his skin. if this is a purple patch, it's his longest yet. i think he's benefitting from a run of games in a confident team. his shirt to lose, but RW remains the weakest area of the squad. if we do sell miggy and fail to replace him, and murphy does his ACL, it's square pegs in round holes at RW for the run in
-
so you're not okay with us having five specialists CBs to cover two positions, but you're happy with a single specialist RW.
-
We tried to her Elanga in the last window but I can’t see forest letting him go given the position they’re in. I think there’s better out there too
-
Ah, I might be wrong but I thought he was one of those Brazilian wonder kids who was happy playing anywhere across the front line
-
Gordon/Barnes. Neither ideal as both prefer playing on the left. Selling Miggy surely means we’re going to buy a new RW. Long overdue too tbh. That Cunha would be perfect but we don’t have the money to get him thanks to the PSR bullshit
-
Sorry @sammynb, I meant elite winger, obvs
-
Do they constantly carry on with this shite with players at other clubs? It’s like their tiny brains can’t cope with the idea little old Newcastle have an elite striker. breaking news dickheads: he’s not going anywhere!

Now the bird on the mic asserting Eddie will be resigned to losing Isak one day. Just fuck off
-
we should probably give him a new contract to really fuck off the arsenal fans. Not that we need to. He’s for 3.5 years left on his current deal.
-
Who was that gimp interviewing Isak on TNT btw? Banging on about whether this was the best version of Alexander like some budget life coach
-
Why would he leave if we finish top four again? On this form you wouldn’t bet against us
-
I wonder if the playing field is fair and equal in north London this evening
-
Not sure how we kept that clean sheet in tne end but a convincing win. Sandro and Isak - both class
