  1. all of this is true, but keegan wouldn't last a second in the modern game, which i think is the point gemmill is making. have you heard steve howay talk about their coaching sessions? there was zero tactical information. he just assembled a squad of flair players and they played 5 a side. one of the greatest motivational managers of all time, and a club legend, no doubt but howe is the right manager for this era. if he goes on to win the league cup, he'll have a statue outside the ground.
  2. you could get a fag paper between their win percentages
  3. so much for securing the supply chains of the future if trump really does go ahead and stifle the clean energy transition jobs in the US. all because the oil lobby have him in his pocket. america - and the world - look pretty fucked.
  4. china are already fucking miles ahead in the EV market.
  5. i doubt he'll last long on team trump. not enough space for two egos that size. trump needs to be seen as the main man
  6. i suspect he was bullied at school. revenge of the nerds
  7. Only iust saw this one
  8. yeah, many times. grumpy, quiet and old - posh, it ain't
  9. i'd be gutted to lose eddie. he's building something special and has been at the centre of everything good since the takeover. i'd understand if he fancied a bash at the man city job and wouldn't stand in his way were he to leave. i suspect they would be more likely to go for a more high profile manager from oversees. swap deal for pep?
  10. jeez - has he not already done that? he's been a goal machine since arriving
  11. that suggests cucumber sandwiches and scones - different vibes
  12. @Renton Gemmill's new AI render demands the addition of a dog in a paddling pool
  13. If the rumours are to be believed it might have been Howe, who was acting as a traditional manager/dof with assistance from Amanda during the transfer windows before Ashworth arrived. And Howe’s reluctance to cede power prompted Ashworth’s departure and the management restructuring we saw last summer when Mitchell's arrival and Howe uttering rare public words of consternation. He’s usually the diplomat
  14. tbh, if they were, they're probably also monitoring how many of your working hours you spend on here, so i wouldn't worry about it.
  15. long overdue. hopefully soon to be confirmed along with clarity over the stadium
  16. i hope for your sake that your work doesn't monitor your chatgpt usage
  17. well yeah, you're spot on with that. and i can see why people think we're not their biggest priority because it's patently the case. buying newcastle is a small piece of their project 2030 schtick though. they'll want us to be champions, playing regularly in the champions league and winning trophies by that time, i believe.
  18. the spurs stadium looks awesome to me. the massive kop end provides a nice balance to all the corporate seats. i'd like to see us have ends like that behind each goal. get two standing/singing sections going and keep the corporate in the two main grandstands along the length of the pitch
  19. i dunno. we are a tiny part of the PIF portfolio but i don't buy the argument i've read online that they're losing interest because of the financial regulations. the club also just announced the appointment of a senior PIF bloke to the board of directors. i don't know how much you can read into that. a new super stadum would be more of a statement of intent. we can probably be reassured if they announce a new state-of-the-art ground on leazes park
