  1. you're right, but i'd counter that by saying the saudis stated aim is to be number one. they will want to save face and are unlikely to sanction the sale of our prize assets if they can find another way. feels like they have been keeping their powder dry and playing by the rules for a while now. whether they continue to play nice with this long-game strategy or start to flex their muscles remains to be seen. this approach so far is quite unlike how they have disrupted other sports or how they throw their weight around with their other business interests.
  2. you can't put a price on that.
  3. fuck knows where they found the data, or if it's accurate, but it's the same across a bunch of different sites
  4. this is the data across various sites. Fuck knows if it’s accurate
  5. a quick google suggests bruno is our top earner on £160k per week though fuck knows how accurate those figures are. if we want isak to sign a new deal, you'd imagine it would take something north of £200k per week to persuade him
  6. well obvs, yeah. and i think we will lose isak and bruno eventually. we are still a stepping stone club for the likes of real madrid. arsenal? i'm not so sure. if we finish top four again we'll have to start paying our top players close to what arsenal pay theirs. but when they do go, i hope it's somewhere like real, and that they win a trophy with us first. i genuinely believe bruno is motivated by that and he will consider his time at nufc a failure if he doesn't win us a trophy before departing for man city or wherever. either that or he's a badge-kissing, child-carrying fraud #paddocklad
  7. he won't get that kind of adoration at many other clubs for winning the league cup. i might have rose tinted glasses on, but i think there's a togetherness in our squad built around wanting to be the first team to win us our first trophy in about half a century. it must be very motivating.
  8. is he? no wonder they're fucked
  9. man city are an outlier club like real. he won't get close to 500k anywhere else
  10. the only way he leaves with 3.5 years on his contract is if he agitates for a move. if we finish top four and win a cup, why would he do that? he'll be a club legend and it would take a bid from a club the size of man city to tempt him in that scenario. if we finish outside the top four, don't be surprised if we cash in on him or bruno

  12. I only watched the second half but it was one way traffic after Man City’s second. They couldn’t live with PSG’s press, which makes me feel optimistic about playing them because we can definitely get at them like that. I was also surprised by how aggressively PSG closed them down because I don’t remember them playing like that against us last season at all
  13. This version of Man City look vulnerable and have probably left themselves too much to do this season, even if Liverpool stutter. I’m sure they’ll be back next session after they refresh their squad but after watching that game I think we can get something at their place if we have a go. They hated being pressed - PSG were so good at closing down passing lanes, they even made Ederson’s distribution look poor.
  14. PSG all over them. Hopefully Man City keep playing like this in the run up to our game. They look so vulnerable to the press
  15. The wife and I had a massive row about whose turn it was to do the laundry. I finally threw in the towel.
  16. you better strap in for the long haul, because i reckon i've got at least another 20-30 years in me.
  17. pretty sure i've been talking shite on here since i was her age tbh
  18. depends where you stay.
