  1. Yeah i just hope he doesnt think he can make a mug out of Rafa like he did with Pardew & Carver
  2. From the presser Rafa: "We will enjoy Sunday and maybe enjoy a little more" in reference to Brighton game Rafa: "We will go into the game with a smile and hopefully have an even bigger smile afterwards" Rafa: "Hopefully I'll meet with the owner next week & move in right direction. We need to decide money, players. Nothing sorted yet" Rafa: "I have seen figures that 'Rafa is asking for that.' I will not ask for money. I will have a plan & give my ideas to the owner" Rafa on FA charge: "I was surprised Rafa: "I have the same ambition for this club as the fans. But I understand that we need to talk. I am calm & know what we need to do" Rafa: "Promotion was the objective at the beginning & we wanted to break the record for away wins. Now we can fight for the title" Rafa: "The title would be a nice touch. I would be very happy with that. The players can enjoy their football against Barnsley" Rafa on Lascelles: "He was playing a lot of games with pain, like Anita & Ritchie but hopefully they will be fine for pre-season"
  3. This from .com For anyone without a ticket for Sunday, NINE Bar (formerly Shearers) at SJP are advertising a live feed of our game - doors open 9am. Overseas TV: None UK Radio: BBC Radio 5 Live Sport will be covering the final round of Championship fixtures. Local Radio: Live on BBC Radio Newcastle. (The official NUFC website offers free worldwide streaming of Radio Newcastle match commentaries) Looks like we'll need to hunt for moving picture streams on Sunday.
  4. From .com Confirmation that the Rafalution will not be televised - at least not live on Sky Sports in the UK anyway.... The broadcaster's selection of final day Championship fixtures ignores the title race in favour of relegation issues, with playoff qualification now concluded. Instead of beaming out the action from Gallowgate and Villa Park, Sky will provide live coverage of the Brentford versus Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest versus Ipswich Town games. Thanks Sky you utter shitbags
  5. Charnley "well i was chief pencil sharpner until 2014 so there"
  6. Sissoko 2013 - 16 Demba ba 2011 - 13 Papiss Cisse 2012 - 16 Marveaux 2011 - 16 These are 4 names that have been put forward notice all these players signed before April 2014 which was when Lee Charnley took over the MD position. The man/men in charge then would either be Ashley or Llambias
  7. A win or draw for Bristol City will set us up for a mental SJP next Sunday this league is crazy & i'm pleased we're out of it.
  8. The fans are doing there bit they sound grrreat, come on lads
  9. Ritchie's out until the end of the season (next 2 games) & fined £5,000 for abusing the 4th official in the tunnel at the Leeds game
  10. “If we win our games and Brighton make mistakes, we will be champions. We will try to do it. “Cardiff are very competitive. It will be a difficult game. “Lascelles, Ritchie, Hanley & Anita are not in the squad because they need to rest injuries – but we do hope to have them for the last one (Barnsley). “We will challenge Brighton and see what happens. We have two games, and we have to do our best.”
  11. “I have spoken to Mike Ashley about preparing for next season. He congratulated us. “I hope to meet him about my future next week.”
  12. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/hmrc-investigation-affect-newcastle-uniteds-12946513 Some previous cases & punishments
  13. The English Football League said it couldn’t say anything about Wednesday’s raids and the situation remains unclear. A spokesperson said: “It would not be appropriate for us to comment at the moment as the investigation is ongoing.” Although the investigation is at an early stage, a precedent has previously been set when clubs have been found guilty of financial irregularities with a points deduction being the outcome.
  14. Nah it wont be him its only a few years since he was filling in the reserve team sheet & sharpening the pencils.
  15. Extra points for those that backed me as a squirter
  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39720232 Joey Barton's career effectively finished.
  17. We all know they've been after Ashley's arse for a while. While i agree i might well turn out to be a slap on the wrist for the club & the end of Charnley. Or it could go the other way & we're made an example of turning the whole club to dissaray. Remember we're Newcastle United & this is Ashley we have to be ready for the worst. You can call me a bedwetter i'm not that bothered i'm just trying to be realistic.
  18. All jokes aside whatever's gone on here its pretty serious if/when the FA get involved there could be serious recriminations against the club. i've seen mention of possible points deduction, relegation, or even a transfer embargo any or all of these havevthevpotential to ruin anybplans Rafa had/has.
  19. No chance he'll stay now i can't see him wanting to be associated with this.
  20. We're all pretty much agreed that we dont need a complete new starting XI but we do need 4/5 experienced premiership players. Obviously the big question is will Ashley allow them to be bought. He's 2 choices, spend & get the players Rafa wants that way i'd imagine we'd at least have a good manager & premiership security with a view to kicking on. Or refuse Rafa, get some kind of yes man in, someone past their sell by date, greatful for the club to be run on a shoestring. Spend the minimum on players & gamble staying up. If its the former we have a hell of a lot to look forward to. If it's the later i dont see the point of bothering.
  21. Rafa said, when he took the job after being relegated: ‘i’m going to have to buy a team for the Championship to get out. "Then a team for the Premier League to stay in"
  22. Well done Rafa & thankyou lets hope your given the financial backing you deserve to take the club forward.
