I had a patient at work the night before last who had been on the operating table for 12hrs and despite having analgesia throughout woke up absolutely rolling in pain. After 10mg of IV Morphine had no effect whatsoever I gave him 20mg IV Ketamine and he was pain-free and snoozing with a smile on his face in about 60 seconds. It's bloody potent stuff

That has just brightened up my week. Well, that and a conversation with a mentalist about an hour ago

Get some co-codamol from the chemist and dissolve some aspirin and gargle with it. (Take these instead of the paracetamol and 'ibrobruphen' - not as well as)

Full-on tonsillitis is a bitch and I get it fairly regularly so I'm not going to have a go. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and you'll start to feel better.
