Go to the doctors so it can be properly diagnosed and treated! Elevation and ice packs might help to reduce the inflammation, as can Ibuprofen (unless you've got a stomach ulcer) but a doc can prescribe something like Naproxen which will help. One of the lads at work gets attacks of gout and it cripples him.

I've just realised that I've got to stay at work in the morning after my nightshift to have some training on a new computet system that we're using and to have the 2nd booster of my MMR jab at 9am. Nice to know I can blame someone else for it now!

Neighbours on one side are having a kitchen fitted. Neighbours on the other side are having new central heating installed. I'm about to go to bed before work tonight and don't fancy my chances of much kip. On the plus side the dishy window cleaner has just been doing his rounds which brightened the day....

He did spend a fair bit of the game with his hands over his ears like cos everything was just too loud. His favourite bit was the booing apparently @@Ant - did you say it was going to be out on DVD? It'll be class to have a permanent record of his first game. One day he'll understand the legends he saw tonight.

Can't wash my hair then sleep on it cos it looks shit. The irony of it is that I wash it, go to work and put a theatre hat on for 12hrs. But at least it feels clean.

I work 12hr shifts sweating like god knows what in an operating theatre man. Despite washing my hands a hundred times a night I still feel manky when I get home so have a quick shower before bed in a morning. I also have one when I get up before going back to work cos I wash my hair. Considering I'm often elbows deep in blood, shit, phlegm and god-knows what else at work, I don't think it's excessive

I truly don't understand anyone who can go to work without having a shower first. I am the least vain person in the world but I will absolutely not go to work without washing my hair. I may not wear a scrap of make-up on but I will have clean hair!
