We were defensively a lot better last night. The lads worked hard, they tried to defend as a team. McClaren tried to make us hard to beat and he was correct in doing so it's just a real shame it's taken us all season to realise how to actually play an away game. Especially when we got 0-0 at old Trafford at the start of the season A lot of people say we are poor defensively but have some good attacking players but last the lack of quality was embarrassing. The movement when we had the ball was non existent, Janmaat is the only one in the team that tried to make a run and makes things happen. Mitrovic was poor kept giving the ball away and barely held the ball up either We just have a ridiculously chucked together squad, it's not a team it's just a bunch of players.

Since Aarons made his debuts he's never had a sustained period of time of being fully fit, hes constantly picked up different injuries. One week he'll be fit make a sub appearance then he picks up a 'niggle' so it's hard to define if Pardew Carver or McClaren saw him as a first team starter. I personally wouldn't of took him abroad for pre season, and let him recover. He played all pre season and then missed a lot of the actual season just like last year

Not sure what the disagreement is about tbh. Fish is right if we get relegated he will probably want to go to another premier league club If a premier league club offers him a contract and we are in the championship the lads going to pick playing in the premier league. Even though he's barely played, kids these days believe they can play at the highest level and believe in themselves

The thing is the main reason he hasn't played is because he's been injured/coming back from injury. It's not like he's constantly on the bench waiting to come on, keeps himself fit he'll probably play as a left sided winger for us. I would be tempted to start him tonight, with Townsend on the other side God knows the last we played with 2 actual wingers

Have we actually offered him a new contract? We waited till end of the season last year to start dishing out new contracts Hardly fills the lad with confidence when we have let him run down his contract to less than six months left Should of got him to sign a contract in the summer, if we do go down he'll be canny in the championship

Hall and Shephard made mistakes and I certainly wasn't there biggest fans near the end But atleast when they did mistakes, they tried to then solve them. There's no way, McClaren would still be in the job if they were here. Why we didn't go out a get someone like Moyes when we have had an 18 day gap between games just shows how inept the board is. -
