  1. In seriousness how could this be a good thing if the planned vision is Champions League, world domination and all that bollocks?
  2. Absolutely. At best it will be a modest, pragmatic purchase or two and/or a couple of loans.
  3. Clark. What a fucking bellend. I had a fiver on Fraser to score two. 33/1.
  4. Any news, anywhere on the DoF thing?
  5. Of course you would, but that's football. But still,, we had clear chances denied, regardless as to the overall quality of our game.
  6. This mantra of “we didn’t deserve anything” out of the game is patently bollocks, three clear penalty claims utterly ignored by ALL the officials and a Shelvey effort that plenty of times could have counted. From what I remember teams don’t have to dominate or necessarily be the best overall to grab a point or even three. We were denied clear, decent chances by blinkered officials and a very decent goalkeeper.
  7. "The Italian opted not to talk to his players after the defeat in Slovenia" Conte tonight.
  8. Well you know, I’m disappointed. But I’ll just have to dust wahselves down and wait till the summer.
  9. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59406087 The Premier League's owners' and directors' test has come under scrutiny recently following the Saudi Arabian-backed takeover of Newcastle. Amnesty International has urged the league to change the test to address human rights issues, with the Saudi state accused of human rights abuses. The Premier League said it has "legally-binding assurances" the Saudi state has no direct control over Newcastle, despite the Public Investment Fund (PIF), which has an 80% stake, being chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. Western intelligence agencies believe the crown prince approved the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which he denies. The review did not state whether human rights issues would be considered in the new proposed tests but did say owners and directors must be of "good character" to pass. Crouch said she did not know if the new tests would have blocked the Newcastle takeover but added they would have ensured "greater transparency". Small portion of that article.
