Of all of the striker loans we have been linked with, I'd happily take any 2 out of Batshayi, Sturridge, Slimani. Maybe Ings if none of the top 3. Deeney though. WTAF.

FA Cup 3rd Round - Birmingham City v Newcastle
Jintsay replied to wykikitoon's topic in Newcastle Forum
Shelvey in the replay might make a difference. -
Reminded me of the first 2 games of the season where I couldn't believe what a negative and defensive team selection and formation we were using. Particularly at home and to supposedly weaker opposition, unlike Wednesday today who were set up pretty well. It only needs a little tweak though. Rafa just needs to figure out how to play without Shelvey and how to play more positively at home.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16

Why would you have an annual pass for Beamish anyway? What exactly do you think is going to have changed since your previous visit in terms of steam engines and victorian collieries? -
In the Wolves players' statements, one said that Shelvey pursued Saiss calling out his number "27,27" as he had his back turned and wasn't turning round. Shelvey countered this with the fact that he was unable to pronounce the guy's name, so didn't say it, but would have been more likely to have said "Oye" to get Saiss' attention rather than his number. He also mentioned that he thought someone who couldn't speak English had managed to abuse him with a well formed anti-alopecia vernacular insult and that it was this that he was reacting to whilst making an imaginary card gesture, rather than the imaginary card gesture Saiss had made minutes earlier to earn big Vurn a stretch on the sidelines. He called 2 witnesses who both confirmed they didn't hear enough to be able to defend him. Got to ask you who the real victim is in this piece.

Rafa seemed happy to defend a single goal lead at Derby and I think the team did defend pretty well. I think the second goal was a bonus gift from Derby not leaving enough men back. I see the QPR game going the same-ish until the end. 0-1 for me but expecting some late drama. -

I agree wings have least depth, but Rafa seems to like the types of player that can play multiple positions. Yedlin & Lazaar can both play further up the pitch so I reckon they're on the bench covering 4 positions for now as they're new and we're away from home. If he wants it more attacking, they play full back when they come on, if he wants it more defensive he plays them on the win. I'm just hoping Lazaar shows Dummett how to do the job when he does get his chance. -
Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA
Jintsay replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Moussa might have been treading water all this time at a stepping stone club, just waiting to turn it all on for a CL team and the national side. He might turn out to be an absolute steal at £30M for Spurs. Not our problem anymore for better or for worse. One thing for sure is he would have continued to be a fucking sulky erratic self-centred twat if he stayed here with us in the Championship. Good luck fella and thanks for the £28M for the Gaffa's next few signings.- 1745 replies

Either way. Kudos to Penfold. £30M for a part time footballer is good business. He's gone bang up in my estimation to -75.- 1745 replies

Results going nicely for the other teams at the top of the table like. Hope it stays that way. 2 points from top if so. Just hope Sels can last extra time before earning his time off.- 147 replies
