  1. That's the sort of dead rubber game against a team with its slippers on the mackems won in previous years to keep themselves up. They look fucking abysmal like. Cattermole still getting a game, Jesus Christ. Fulham fucked me over tonight, didn't think they'd have any bother beating Derby. Gone right off the boil.
  2. We need 5 wins to guarantee it now and that's the absolute worst case scenario - assuming Huddersfield win every game of their last 8. They've lost their last 2 without scoring. You've got to fancy us now lads.
  3. Nah. You'll always have free kick and penalty decisions where people will disagree, videos or not. Video tech will never cut out all bad decisions.
  4. About 7 seconds. Not the best video but as the first pass on that video is played, the striker is about a yard off. https://youtu.be/Snsouq5Qiy0
  5. If anything that situation supports my argument. You either have it for everything or you don't have it at all. And having it for everything is going to be a fucking nightmare to implement and would totally change the matchday experience. On top of that I don't get why people think it would remove any and all controversy and take away any doubt about decisions. Every single week I see penalty and red card incidents on Match of the Day etc where the panel have had 7 hours and 5 different angles and they still can't agree.
  6. That England Ukraine game in Euro 2012 is a good example. Ukraine got the ball over the line but the goal wasn't given. In the build up Ukraine were offside. With goal line tech Ukraine would have been awarded that goal, but how is it fair that only the decision that benefitted Ukraine gets looked at? I'm sure many of us are capable of accepting that both teams are aware of how it is before the game kicks off, but wait until something like that costs Real Madrid or Man Utd a CL place. Then it'll be something else, an incorrect free kick call etc. Where does it end?
  7. I'm dead against video refs like. Not because I like controversy in football, but I just think it starts becoming unfair when certain decisions are reviewed and not others. The Premier League is unfairly officiated at the minute, with goal line tech and nothing else. Anyone see the South American qualifiers today? Argentina beaten 2-0 by Bolivia. I'm not 100% but I think the top 4 go through automatically and 5th have to go into a play off? Argentina are 4th and will be 5th if Chile win their game in hand.
  8. I did get a good chuckle when Anichebe had a couple of games and they all seemed to think he was the second coming of Drogba. Big Vic. (They can't help themselves, can they?) Then other teams decided to start marking him a bit and it went quiet again.
  9. I know mate, just taking the piss out of them. It never gets boring.
  10. Maybe I'm being too generous but I get the impression he considers his spell last season a failure and wants to put it right. What he does after that remains to be seen. The thought of this opportunity for the club being completely wasted puts me off the idea of going back until they've all fucked off and surely, SURELY there are thousands more thinking the same. We cannot let them get away with this if it happens.
  11. It's only a matter of time, isn't it? I'd like to think that after putting in the slog of this season and (hopefully) getting us back up Benitez will be looking forward to moving onwards in the Premier League and putting a good team together. I genuinely think he likes the club and enjoys the support he gets. However, does anyone trust that despicable, obese, slavedriving bastard of an 'owner' we are lumbered with to share that vision?
  12. Aye agree with all that. Danny Simpson man, unreal. Best thing about Kante for me is how quickly he turns on the ball when he gets it, how many times he won the ball last season and before you can blink Vardy Mahrez were 100mph bearing down on goal. Got the ability to pick them out as well. Same at Chelsea now with Willian Hazard and co. So hard to defend against. Anyone reckon the mackems will be thinking about Claudio?
  13. Massive massive miss though, the whole way they play has had to change without him and they haven't adapted at all. They and unfortunately Ranieri looked lost without him. Look at Matic, a decent, highly rated player. He looks like a lumbering elephant next to Kante.
  14. I feel like a few fringe players will get a look in also but none of them have covered themselves in glory when called upon this season.
