It kind of begs the question why Smith waited until the last two games of the season to change his set up in order to try and stop conceding goals. Fair play to Smith and the Leicester players, they worked their bollocks off even if they were very fortunate given how many times we hit the post, their keeper playing well, and our general dominance.

😂 Look at the stats mate, it's not even close. Ginola was moping more often than scoring or assisting for us regardless of the admittedly spectacular goals he did score. I honestly believe anyone who thinks Ginola was better for us has got the nostalgia glasses on because he was in the entertainers side. Having said all that obviously Ginola was incredible for Spuds, again much better than he ever was for us.

Robert was a better player for us that Ginola ever was. Ginola probably proved himself to be a level above Robert, but only once he left for Spuds.

You could get 15m at least for Iwobi. Any team from 10th down would take him. His sheer athleticism is elite in much the same way as Big Joe's is for us. DCL, yeah he does have to prove himself with a season of being relatively injury free, but that just means he'd be 30m to 40m instead of the 60 or 70m they were looking for when he was injury free and on fire about 18 months ago.

In fairness they could get a good wack of money for Pickford, DCL and Onana. Even players like Patterson and Iwobi are potentially useful and young enough to get decent money for.

Yeah not sure. It could be in mackem land, but it might also be in Newcastle in fairness. One of the replies to the video was this 😂

A draw is probably the perfect result for us. We can confirm it ourselves by getting a result against Leicester, but we don't have to cack even a small bit in our pampers given our midfield could look pretty threadbare come Monday night.

The twitter tin foil hat brigade in the Liverpool fanbase and others will be out in full force this evening 😂

Bizarre.

He gets the ball and then pulls his leg back. You'd think he'd went with a straight leg the way the commentator is slathering on about it. Was someone saying it's Bridges who's commentating; is he a mackem?

Henderson doing a professional foul - good play, not nasty. Newcastle player doing the same - Oh it's the dark arts, they're ruining football.

I hope I don't regret that ironic, if that's the correct word in this instance, GIF.

Should have let McGinn take it. That was fucking shocking. At least Villa look to be making a fist of this game so far.

Any of the lads on here been in the Hull area recently?

Given that pressing is one of his strengths I wouldn't be surprised to see Gordon start in midfield depending on how Joelinton and Longstaff recover. Either that or Almiron. I know that experiment didn't exactly go well when Bruce was "manager" but a lots changed since then obviously. Gordon probably has a better physical presence though even if Almiron is strong for his size. Ritchie might even get a rare start. The injuries do make me mildly nervous even taking into account how bad Leicester have been. All out attack may be our best option.
