Yup. HTT is going to have to pull a rabbit out the hat now to get people back on N-O when (if) it's ever sorted out like! To be honest, I ain't really bothered and that's not me being arrogant or putting a face on, I quite like the cosey feel of a small forum and often wish N.O was smaller and the way I look at it is if anyone who has used something for free and enjoyed the benefits of that, then decide to go missing when things aren't running so smooth, they can fuck off for all I care. I say good riddance. When this place was set up N.O lost a lot of good members, some returned and som still pay a visit but those that never returned for whatever reason, were replaced by new members, like yourself, Parky, Chezgiven et al so if the same does happen again this time round, I'm sure in say 12 months time, there will be new members to fill the void. As long as there is a forum at newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/, it will always be a community, small or large, shit or good. Anyway, expect a PM from me soon with offers of goodies, moderating roles and such

Spurs are seriously overrated as most London teams seem to be, and while they do have some good players, I think the same can be said for a few sides in the top-flight, we have some good players ourselves, no worldbeaters but decent Premiership players.

None, I couldn't follow a club not on my doorstep. I wasn't that interested in football before I caught the Toon bug anyway so if the club didn't exist, I'd be none the wiser I suppose.

I caught the end of our 3-0 beating by Liverpool in the FA Cup Final the other night, what a bastard that KK was eh.

I'd say it is the other way around, maybe we are conceding so many goals because the midfield and attack are, well, a bit of a mixed bunch. For me the defence has done well this season given the circumstances and while everyone cries out for some new defenders I'm far more concerned with midfield and attack. Our midfield just don't defend well as a unit or attack well as a unit and up front we have no real outlet. Martins can't lead the line because he's not that type of player and while strong enough on the ball, he keeps losing it because its always going sideways or back into our own midfield and not forward of him due to the lack of runners from midfield (although when Dyer plays he gets himself forward). We do need defenders of course but only because we've been hit hard with injuries in those positions. If Bramble et al were fit, despite them being average at best, I'd want us to spend our money on midfield and attack because those areas are the real problem, for me anyway. 28 goals in 22 games ain't bad, you're right - not considering the lack of experience and our mixed bag of a midfield/attack.
