We need defenders and strikers, both as much as one another. If we only sign defenders this window, that won't do, likewise if we only sign forwards. The midfield area is our key problem area though for me and in the summer I'd like to see that addressed. As a unit it doesn't potect that back-four well enough where as offensively it is just individuals at the moment, and not the unit. I feel a lot of our problems at either ends comes directly from the midfield just not being good enough as a unit, individually we have some fine players in there but none of them look and work well together. Dyer and Butt isn't ideal, neither is Butt or Parker. Parker and Emre aren't either while Milner and whoever on the flanks are a bit of a mixed bag too. Priorities first though.

Having not seen the game, it sounds like we were both lucky to pick up a point based on the first half performance, and unlucky not to go away with all 3 based on the second half,. Overall though I said pre-match I'd take a point and at 2-0 down, that point becomes more valuable so I'm pleased enough.
