Look man, none of these kids are fucking good enough. They'll never make it, they got shown up for what they were last night. Maybe so but that doesn't warrant the abuse or ironically the high expectations, if they are all indeed shite and we are shite, why the big outrage when one of those shite players plays shite or when we get beat 5-1. If anything, everyone is overachieving or playing beyond their ability, no?

I didn't go either, 20 quid for adults and 10 for kids is far too steep, I'd have been about 70 quid out of pocket last night had I went, ferk that. The whole of football needs to review its ticketing prices though. We have two crowds these days, league crowds with ST holders and Cup crowds with families, first timers, more women and Toon Ultras mainly buying at the door.

Me neither, we'd be daft to because it would pit us deeper into the mire IMO, but many fans are asking the question.

To be fair, it was only one game. Freak result IMO, not a lot anyone can do about it, time to move on and how we react is more important that how and why we lost. 3 points at home to West Ham will consign this result to where it belongs - the history books. Howay the lads.

Who do we get in? Which top manager in their right mind would come to a club with no money, a trigger happy Chairman and demanding fans, and a whole team out injured, all while stuck in mid-table and halfway through the season. And lets not forget who decides these things, do you trust the board to find that right man, a manager better than Roeder? I don't and I can't think of one top manager who would take the job at this moment in time so I'll stick with Roeder for now, having accepted our situation months ago. He's doing a good job IMO, the best to his ability and in many respects overachieving given his ability or lack of, a 50% win ratio is as good as anyone and really, is there much more he can do? I'm not sure and equally so I'm not sure there are many out there who could do an infinitely better job, which we would require to warrant sacking Roeder.

Being serious for a moment and unbiased: The top and bottom of N.O Vs TT is - numbers. If N.O had fewer members, it would be more like this place, if TT had more members, it would be more like N.O. I don't think there is any reaal fundamental differences between the two, I really don't. Both have their cluques, both have good members and bad members, good threads and bad threads, slow periods and busy periods. The only big difference outside of members or rather activity as our member numbers is kind of misleading, says over 2,500 but 2,500 don't post on it, is the design, layout and management of this one which I admit is better than N.Os. I prefer wor theme (I would as I designed it), but I really like Invision (they are commercial now BTW aren't they?) and if SMF gives us more jip, I wouldn't mind looking at Invision. I think management wise though we'll have to make do, no way I'm learning about PHP and MySQL and I doubt we'll find a cheaper host with the same power. Anyway I'm off as the match is about to start. Over population is the problem and unless that is either brought under control, stemmed or dare I say it culled, things are just going to get worse and worse in my opinion. I think the damage that has been done and is being caused is irreversible and mankind's focus now needs to switch to adapting to the ever changing climates instead of trying to fix things or in our case, fuck things up further. Anyway the planet will have the final say on this matter as it always has done, she can cope with anything, ice ages, asteroids, polution, overpopulation - the lot. We can't though and in a way it is kind of ironic that it won't be the planet that gets it, but us. Us and the poor animals that share the planet with us, which is the biggest shame of all.

Good player, I've always rated him as someone to be much better than he looks if you know what I mean. As others have said he can play in numerous positions, has a great deal of experience and would walk straight into the side without needing to adapt to any difference in style of play or language barriers, indeed he's an ideal target in every respect. However I doubt we're after him as I don't think we have the funds or are in a position to spend any just yet, if we are on the verge of a takeover which may complicate plans on that front. If we did have funds, we'd have submitted a few bids by now going on our past record or our inability to keep news from gobshites like AO who strangely enough has rubbished every link so far and hasn't written the usual "as I understand it Roeder is keen on X player and the word is that X player will be a United player by the end of the transfer window" bollocks. Perhaps he's been told to play down transfer plans?

I like Jol, speaking to him away from the forum he seemed canny enough to me and I don't tend to make lasting impressions of people via what they post or do not post on a forum as that's no way to judge people.
