1. Some find Leazes. So Dalglish was after him as well? He would have been worth every penny like if his time at Arsenal is to go buy. 111520 Can't recall Keegan being after either tbh, although when we played Metz, Pires was definitely in our spotlight at the time. Maybe Keegan did, but it have made Henry about 17 or 18 at the most. Which is why I went looking but this is all I can find. 111521 Probably my memory playing tricks. Could have sworn we were after Henry, he would have been about 17/18 at the time aye, he ws playing for Monaco at 16 I think. Again, could be wrong though. We were linked to that many players during the KK years.

3. He's consistent though, unlike.... Lets not even gan there again
4. KK certainly had them watched and we were linked with them, I think we actually had a bid for Pires turned down by Metz. I remember Pires when he played for Metz, never quite rated him, we were linked with another French player, Micoud who was supposed to be the next Zidane. Think he's in Germany now. Don't know about Senderos like. Maybe Craig or Alex can verify as they're usally knowledgeable about these things. 111512 I can remember us being linked with Dugarry and Patrice Loko quite a bit during the Keegan years too. 111515 Loko, the former Inter Milan player? He was a crazy bastid apparently, would have been fun and games with him and Tino up front Never rated that Dugarry. We nearly signed Boksic I remember that. Can anyone remember those South American players who played for Roma and Inter? Soso/Sosa and Fonseca? We were linked with those as well.

6. I think he, like Bergkamp, still has something to offer because he still has pace and he'll never lose that flair. Plus, he still has some petrol in the tank as he isn't the hardest working player there has been, although I see what you're saying. I'd have Pires at the Toon like. Always rated him, much better than Overmars I thought.
7. Aye. Pleasure to watch. Normally I'd say a Henry-less Arsenal is better for us, but we are that far behind whether he stays or goes it doesn't matter so I hope he stays. Best player to have played in the Premiership IMO. 25 goals this season again and probably that many in assists as well. Frightening. I still think he can improve too.
8. I think tonight showed Wenger was justified in moving Viera on so Fabregas could develop. Brave decision considering Viera was the leader of the team at the time. As the commentator said, at 80-odd minutes Viera looked like he'd had enough, Fabregas looked like he could play another 45 minutes. 111502 Aye, spot on. He's like Fergie in that sense, can spot when a player is past it even if it's nothing really major. Considering his size and inexperience, Fabregas dominated that midfield - another amazing talent, seems to have a good attitude too. He's tough and likes to get stuck in. He got 13.5m for a 30 year old whose best days are behind him - great business again. Still think Arsenal need some power in that central area, for the league anyway as we showed how soft they can be. Also, Ljungberg, I think he's past it too and they are better without him in the side as he doesn't have the energy/stamina he once had, he's just a passenger these days, a slightly better Bowyer (on the ball).
9. His pace... See him take on Vieira and Zebina as if they weren't there? And they are no slouches. What a player he has been and still is. I hope he stays at Arsenal, could watch him all day long. Just think, KK tried to buy him and Pires.
10. They were I agree, but I think that was more down to Arsenal than anything else. They just couldn't cope with the pace and movement. Wenger also showed he can think with the best of them tactically, Pires on Vieira, who'd have thought it? BTW, anyone think Vieira is past it? Was disappointed in him as well as Trezeguet and Abrahamovic.
11. I never saw that, heard the "thuds" though on some show on Discovery a while back, and that was bad enough.
12. When someone jumps, and they die, I always wonder if they splatter or just get cut up a bit, what happens to their body, do their insides turn to mush? There are easier and better ways to top yourself like. The lengths people go to get out of being a donor.
13. But it is good to see that HTT is at least keeping the questions short when he is soliloquising... 111109 We had you sussed all along man...
14. Arsenal have been very poor in the league this season by their high standards but any fool knows that's just a blip, they have a great future ahead of them, their academy side beat Everton's first-team 4-1 in the League Cup last year and so long as Wenger is around, they'll bounce back from any hiccup, even Henry leaving. Amazing team, amazing manager, amazing story. He has transformed every aspect of that club on a budget we as fans would probably piss and moan about. Especially when you consider how much he has earned the club, over 60m on the sale of Anelka, Overmars, Petit and Vieira alone who cost 15m max for the lot. He'll get them right again league wise and I do hope they can go on and win the Champions league, will be a big victory for fooball IMO. He gets unfair flack Wenger and so do Arsenal, they dive a bit and piss and moan but they make up for that in entertaining, great to watch tonight. Gooners fans = lucky bastards. Kill for a Wenger.
15. The example I gave offered a real 100% difference in the statistics, a pretty perfect example of an un-semantical argument; I'm assuming you're using words you don't understand. Whenever someone tries to nicely explain where you're making an error, you don't listen. I'm just suggesting you look at your figures if you're not trying to mislead all the people who have faith in you. 111472 You over analyse too much. You read what you want to read, you've looked at those figures and automatically assumed that we are viewing the poll results and the petition results as two different things, and that we have then added the two together to come to our final figure. Why on here does every thread or post descend into a battle of semantics, or as in Bum's case, who can be the most patronising wanker?
16. I really hope you're joking. 111468 Why, will I get wrong or something?
17. Same here. Thinking of getting it out, waste of money and full of repeats. The footy is shite anarl. 111459 spot on the quality of premiership football this season has been mostly pretty poor imo according to the forums over at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/ if you ring sky and threaten to cancel they will offer at least 3 months at half price. 111462 That's actually true, I've already done it. Wonder if they'd be up for doing it a second time...
18. He certainly doesn't get them from the Mick Wadsworth school of scouting.
19. I'm not quite sure what you mean, to put it at its simplest: If 2,000 users vote on a poll and then the same 2,000 users sign a petition, that doesn't equal 4,000 people. 2,000 people voted for Hitzfeld in an internet poll. You claim a further 2,000 signed an online petition, therefore you're adding the 2 together and coming up with a figure of 4,000. It would be normal to assume a very similar group (Newcastle fans/Hitzfeld fans/Internet Users/etc.), of which there are a relatively small number, using 2 approval mechanisms being distributed largely in the same space as overlapping, unless you had specific data available to indicate otherwise. Then expand that example out to include the support emails you have received and any other means of calculating figures you are using. 111406 Semantics tbh.
20. That Eboue looks a talent. Where do they find them? Toure - magnificent - cost? Zero. Fabregas, again Zero. That's about 25m worth of talent there potentially. Watching Arsenal play lke that just reminds me how far behind we are and how far we have to go just to get level, something which I doubt we ever will manage.
21. Same here. Thinking of getting it out, waste of money and full of repeats. The footy is shite anarl.
22. Awesome performance, one of the best I've seen for a lomg time, had everything. Wenger is a great manager. If we want to get to that level, we need to look beyond O'Neill et al and go foreign, aim high. If we get KB'd - fair enough.
23. Waste of money building that thing, hope the fecker falls down.
