  1. Being wildly optimistic, IF the convicts get too cocky and bat a bit too long and IF we can bat through five sessions for the draw it would feel like a victory. [/straw clutching]
  2. A noose? Now come on, i thought would have been a bit harsh! I think it's a look Brock could carry off. Perhaps accessorised with a rickety chair
  3. I'll go out on a limb and suggest the phrase "plasterer's radio" will be used.
  4. Recorded it. I like James May, but not wine.
  5. Time for a repeat of Harmy's first over one up into the cheek.
  6. Agree with what the boys are saying, you're wasting your time trying to stay friends. Move on, it's the only way.
  7. Clean break is the only way in my experience. Cut all ties. It's tough in the short term but protects you in the long term.
  8. Giles in ahead of Monty. Defensive decision imo.
  9. With at starting at midnight I'd assume it'll finish around 7.30-8.00am. Yeah, thats what I thought.
  10. That's not depression that's called common sense. You stick to drinking beer out of vase's and we'll stick to cricket
  11. Who was the one that lamped Gascoigne, was it Viv Graham?
  12. Gemmill & Fish running a take away? Can't see that Making a profit. Like the Larson cartoon where the Donut shop owner is trying to work out why he is barely breaking even as a 50 stone kid does the sweeping up.
  13. Theres a new Burrita Bar in town according to GRT from NO Where? And who's GRT? Click-me-do Don't know how upto date this is mind.
  14. Good call. There used to be one in Bradford called Tortilla Tierra, excellent take-away. Someone should francise them or something. And agree with Alex, Chiquito's is garbage. The starters are alright but the main courses are bland overpriced rubbish.
  15. Anyone planning to stay up? I might for the first hour, then get up a bit earlier in the morning to catch up.
  16. A temporary one done with henna ink and a wooden stick (bit like a toothpick). They last about a fortnight.
  17. Was just about to post something similar. We could have all made our suggestions, then he could have turned his nose up at them for being 'plebby'. Think you're right about the one at the Baltic Chez, it always used to be booked way in advance. Is he that bad? See the gastropubs thread from last week.

  19. Made from the body parts of those who dared to criticise his culinary skill. Watch yourself.
  20. What do you reckon to them? I've never liked them enough to buy an album but I could be tempted to aquire the greatest hits thats just come out.
  21. Anyone been watching these? I've seen the last two. I love his scientific approach to cooking, I'd fancy trying his pub (his restaurant might be a bit too much for my simple tastes). The fish & chips looked incredible, chips were a bit complicated mind.
