As funny as it would be for Liverpool to still pip Man United to CL, the fact is Man United are a club that will always have money to spend cos they're such a massive global brand. If you can keep Liverpool out of the CL for a couple of seasons though, they'll start to go backwards. Even the one season will hurt them a bit.
